It looks so much better on the PS3 and the frame rate looks to be a little bit more stable :D

I think I might jump in at launch if they keep throwing up beta patches at this rate.

They took out "Slice & dice" and they made the Razors taller :lol

Arrgh, ever since the Tuesday patch the game now disconnects whenever you are AFK too long. Doesn't even throw you back to the character select screen. Have to restart the whole game.

Edit: at least on the PC version.

It says you will probably have to reallocate them in the last patch notes, remember this is a beta and things change around.

I think though the beta code is a mess of sub-optimal code.

Could someone give me a guide or link as to how to group up, set a lfg flag and chat in the channels.

• /tell (name) sends a private message to the player
• /group (message) - Changes chat channel to group chat
• /invite (name) - will send an invite to another player (range undetermined)
• /kick (name) - Kicks person from group/raid
• /leave - Quit a group
• /league (message) - communicates to your league channel (if your in one)
• /shout (message) - changes chat channel to shout
• /Say (message) - changes chat channel to say
• /logout - Logs you to character selection

This seems to happen a lot when they bring in a new patch, then your character mysteriously reappears a few days later, best way to check is try and make a new character with the old characters name, if it doesn't let you then your character will probably come back, if it does let you then your characters dead.

8% through this new patch... guess im gonna head to bed and give it a look in the morning, hopefully my 2 characters survived.

This game has been a favorite of mine since getting into beta after Comic-Con. With that said, I have not been able to successfully play it since the latest patches this week. It's either that I can't log in or I can, play for a few minutes, enter a club/safehouse and then the game crashes. It is even more annoying on the PS3 because at least on the PC a crash = double click to restart.

For anyone getting the disconnected from server message when trying to log in with some characters this may be of interest to you:

Apperantly if you put items in the shared bank you may be unable to connect with other characters. It seems you can log back into the character that used the shared bank to remove the items and fix the problem.

If you are currently experiencing issues logging in a character, please try removing all items from your shared bank.

I like a lot of the features. PVE have PVP flag enable. (press Up on the D-pad). Also you can change your stance (healer/damage) with Up (d-pad). I'm just mad that the map is smaller. :-/

From what I can tell the draw distance has taken a bit of a hit to increase the stability, the audio tracks jump quite a bit as well but at least they don't just dissapear and crash the game.

They've lowered the precision stat on nearly every item in the game, health Soders now heal by quite a bit more, each one's had about an 80hp bump up (and they are worth more to sell now)

Edit: If your not the right role to use an item instead of having a huge red cross on it you now have a little padlock in the corner, looks much better.

Keyboard hotkeys are in, but there's no mouse support. The game was built to be played using a controller, so it's no big loss.

Just redeem it like you normally would through the PS Store.

I think you're using the wrong site. First you need to create a US PSN account if you don't have one and then you need to log into the account either using the Account Management site or your PS3 to redeem the code. You don't have to visit the official DCUO website to redeem a PS3 beta code.

I bought a PS+ subscription yesterday, and managed to try out the DCUO beta. Game seems pretty good so far. Text is friggin small though, I had to be close to my HDTV to actually read anything w/ ease.

One question: The costume you start off with. If you equip any items, it overrides the costume. But if you unequip the item, that part of the costume doesn't return? Or is that just a glitch, and you can still see your original costume?

And yeah, I saw the "lock" options for the appearance... just didn't see that until after I equipped something.

After playing tons of the this on a PVP server they really need to fix the roll glitch in PVP. Nothing can stop it and you always get away if you do it.

Nothing can affect you when you roll. Cant be rooted,stunned,anything.

You should be able to mix and match every part of your costume with your original parts and what you've picked up.

Still plenty of beta time, I say DL it and have fun for a week or 2. Its great to see Metropolis and Gotham city in MMO form and fly/speed/glide around.
