Thinkcard was clearly way out of his depth against Diamond in such a setting. Not his fault, but he got punched around during laning phase in all four games (though Diamond did made a bunch of weird errors on Lee Sin), letting his lanes get influenced heavily. Not that that excuses Link for the beating he took of NiQ - easily the best tournament of the latter's career. Bit of bad luck losing the 2v2 in mid 2-0 in game 1 though, which let Diamond take over.
P1noy is the opposite of Genja, but while his all-out aggro style worked in game 1, it also cost Gambit dear at some points in the later games. At least his relentless splitpushing did a ton to pressure the map in games 2-4, putting pressure on CLG's shot calling (which varied between okay and awful).
Game 2's ending is an all-time "League of Fails" moment. It's all the better because the game had some excellent play and, with how chaotic and aggressive the teams were, looked it was definitely heading for a final, deciding teamfight. All the tension just got released as farce as everyone realised what a terrible decision CLG had made.
