Guys, try to keep in mind that the "lame" Whiplash suit is supposed to be lame. It's the earliest prototype. Tony's first Iron Man was lame too.

I oughta slap you for that. It was fuck awesome. The only thing I see Whiplash having any advantage is right there as Tony was thrown from a race car or something, no fair without his Ironman suit.

Footage is awesome, even though it has Samuel L. Jackson, FUCK I hate him.

"Give me some feedback, I can't read you. What do you think?"

Rhodes: "I'll take it."

"Which one?"

Rhodes: "All of it."

Nerdgasm!

Aren't you a Bayformers fan?

Vin Diesel: I want all that....in here.

Sorry I can't help but remember xXx.:lol :lol

Uh, I like the Transformers movies, yes.

How is that even remotely related to what you quoted? I was stating that the suit is lame because it's put together as a prototype, like Tony did in the cave in the first movie. How is that related to me liking Transformers?

Couldn´t hear anything because of a technical difficulty :lol but it looks quite awesome. Especially the whipping, I didn´t think they could make a dude with two long ropes intersting :lol

I have high hopes for that movie, the first one was a very entertaining ride. And I want more.

And the first Iron Man suit was awesome, nothing compares to a nice chunky suit of steel plates.

Hmmm...
Can't view the video anywhere on the net while at work, still trying to find a site that will work.
But I am still not sure what to think. The first one was amazing.
Don Cheadle is a badass, but I hate roles being recast. And Howard did a great job, he was Rhodes to me.
Whiplash and Rourke disappoint me. I've never been a big Iron Man fan, but I want to see an awesome villian. If not Omega Red, then The Mandarin. Maybe they think that magic and mysticism won't work in today's comic book movies, but I want to see some awesome villain that there is no hope of Iron Man beating. Could Crimson Dynamo work? Isn't he the Russian equivalant of Iron Man and Black Widow's husband or something?

Oh, well...I'm sure it'll be great.

So really.. what is the deal with Justin Hammer working with War Machine? Is there going to be a split with Tony and the military? Is this their way of getting ahold of his technology?

I'm curious to see where this goes. I have to assume Justin Hammer is going to be a villian in the series. Perhaps Hammer steals the specs on the suit and helps the bad guys get? Could be a nice set up to see something like Crimson Dynamo in a future sequal.. have Hammer dealing to both sides or something.

I'm just fucking with you guys. There seems to be a group of kids, mostly born in the late 80's that are reared on these sloppy seconds characters like War Machine, USAgent, Scarlet Spider, Carnage, and who the fuck was that retarded ass purple skulled twat that fought Ghost Rider in the 90's? :lol :lol :lol

Anyhow, I wonder if Rhodey is going to be at odds with Tony. Watched the trailer again and I get the feeling Rhodey swiped a suit from Tony and is trying to outfit it of his own volition, or under the guidance of the US military. :(

1. Why am i hearing so many people talk about Omega Red in here? .. not an Iron Man villain.. not even close...

2. Pretty sure that they either jack a blank suit (the orig) or tony agrees to give them a blank slate like someone earlier said then Rhodes fits it out with guns per-the military.

3.... someone asked what music that was in the trailer..... seriously??? .... wow. Fail.

Wasn't sure if a new thread was needed but the poster has just been released. Trailer is expected soon most likely with Sherlock Holmes.

Is there a chance this could be the highest grossing film (domestically/worldwide) of 2010?

I don't see why not. The only other guaranteed big-seller coming out next year is Toy Story 3.

What are the other contenders? Toy Story 3 is the only thing that comes to mind. Maybe Harry Potter since it's the last movie (well, part 1 of the last movie anyway), but that one is late in the year so it won't be out as long.

Yeah. This for 2010 and The Hobbit in 2011 (unless a new Batman movie hits that same year).
The other big 2011 tentatives are Spidey 4, Trans 3, Pirates 4, Star Trek, another Bourne flick, MI4, and the last Harry Potter.

God, I love War Machine. Took bad they didn't use the tank tread leg version. :lol

Bourne, MI4? :lol

Spiderman 4 (325M+)
Transformers 3 (325M+)
Pirates 4 (350M+)
Star Trek (275M+)
Bourne 4 (250M+)
MI4 (150M+)
HP: DH1 (300M+)

For 2010, both TS3 and IM2 are looking like the top dogs, I think IM2 will hit 400M+ but TS3 will not, we'll see.

Poster is hot, looking forward to the trailer. Retarded if its attached to Sherlock Holmes.

I'd say both of those will probably be bigger (Harry Potter definitely will, worldwide at least). As for the last sentence -- box office rankings are based on the calendar year of a film's release, not when it makes that money. Even then, it's coming out mid-November, meaning that the lion's share of its total gross will have been reached by the end of December.

(I'm looking forward to this, not trolling, but let's be realistic.)
