That's true. I hope there are some game modes that will surprise us all.
But I just thought there would be more "meta-game". Like in Team Fortress 2, where the heavy's are very important. There, medics and other team members protect those heavy's because they are very helpful and are a key component of the game.
I thought we would be seeing a similar system: where the little agile guys should be doing supportive actions for the mechs or something.
From what I've seen now, the currently shown game modes only support lonewolving. There is no deep system or anything.
I was also expecting like frontlines within the street. So a pack of mechs and soldiers would be running into a street, while all of a sudden, from around the next corner an enemy group would appear.
But the maps are so damn small there is no frontline or anything. It's all just random chaos, which is not original at all.
Yes, but if you want to be supportive in BF games, you get rewarded.
You get points for reviving, for giving ammo, for repairing vehicles, for spotting.
None of that kind is here. It's all about running and gunning: there are no supportive actions to be found. Just like in CoD.
I thought people stopped playing CoD because they wanted something more. More than just running aimlessly around a map, dying and respawning.
In BF games and Planetside 2, you can have fun even without having to kill people every 3 seconds. Because there is a meta-game that awards you for certain team oriented actions.
Stop being salty. My arteries are chocking. Smh.
I was being sarcastic, if it wasn't obvious. You'll get pounced on pretty quick if you make some negative remarks about what you've seen so far, simply discredited as being a 2hater2 and 2salty2.
