Man I don't want to buy console for a single game. specially when it is yet to release in my country but urge rising to import one

You guys shouldn't import, just be patient! If the game is worth a damn the community will stay active for a couple years. Plus you might even avoid what could be a rough first couple months for the game's network performance, if BF4 is anything to go by.

There's another vid on this channel I'm about to check out, but for now that guy is pretty good movement. Did some things I didn't know were actually possible, and there seems to be a run boost ability for pilots I'm almost definitely going to use.

That's the stimpack perk he's using instead of the cloak perk. It allows the player to run quicker and recover health faster for a limited time.

Yeah, and I'm not sure if he was just doing it for no reason, but he seemed to drop kick at the end of his jetpack. I didn't notice if he made he go farther or not, but that is a pretty neat trick to learn so early in the game if that is what it did.

The ending almost made me reach for my neck.
Ah.

Now THIS is what I wanted to see. Fast movement all around, neat. From what I've seen, as long as you make contact with a hard surface you can boost again in any direction, you just can't boost twice in the air consecutively?

Still dismayed by the fact most kills are stupid bots (the way he farmed them right as they came out of their pod was cute), the titans basically go from bottleneck to bottleneck and the weapons are COD weapons.

So do the AI start the same place every match and go to the same areas? Looks like he was exploiting that right off the bat with some grenades. Game looks interesting but the AI just seems like pointless filler.

Nope, they are random from my experience.

As soon as you touch a wall after jumping at it, you will wallrun in the direction you come at it. As you wallrun, you pick up speed in your movement. When you jump off of any wall, you are allowed to double jump. The second jump allows you to cut back or to the side too as long as you are pointing in that direction on the left stick before you hit your second jump. If you string your jumps along walls, your movement gets quicker and quicker and you can jump further because of all that momentum.

I've owned every COD up until BLOPS 2 then switched to other FPSs.
COD gameplay is smooth and polished since it runs at 60fps so what's so different about TitanFall?

To me, it just seems like an expansion pack to COD. Do others feel this way or is it just me? I don't know.
Just a CoD expansion pack with entirely different assets, a whole new suite and style of weapons, new music and sound effects, a new story, new environments, AI bots added, giant robots, jetpacks, wall running...

Yeah, it is basically the same game isn't it.

So... AI Bots (Grunts) are 20pts for each kill, and human opponents, 100....is that right?

EDIT: Just checked out that Shotgun gameplay vid; there's another Bot type called Spectres and these seem to be capable of jetpacking around (30pts each kill)?

The AI is there as Filler so new comers can gain XP more easily.

Wish there would be more fight in them, but this is the Alpha so fingers crossed!

I'm still trying to convince myself into buying this game but I just can't from what I've seen so far :/ It just doesn't seem like much or enough of anything new but this is just the alpha and the same boring looking map so I'll wait for beta release.

I really wish this had Treyarch's swan dive. You can pull off such great, fluid movements, but I get the impression that once you reach a window, you kind of "trip" a bit on it.

The Grunts seem so pointless in this game, it's not even like you can defend them or anything, just run and gun to speed up Titan, no real tactics involved. (also the first grenades he throws, jeez this will get old quickly)

Couldnt they have done something different to get "Titan points"? like infiltrate a building and hack some station or bring some kind of beacon/resource back to your base
basically anything that requires at least some kind of decision/planning and can maybe get defended by the opposing team. (will we all rush for the A/B/C spots or will some defend and some try to get quick Titans etc., thinking about it I wish it wouldn't be 6v6 only :(()

Also this game would be better with fall damage (maybe only after used double jump) to increase skill ceiling for wallrunning etc. (imo)

I agree with the grunts, and i'm also not too sure about the movement. In the shotgun vid it looked like he was practically sucked towards the walls, which would be a bummer. I hope i get to try the beta, so i can make up my mind if this is a buy or not

hnnnnnggg wait you can use the titan's bullet collect/throw back against somebody who's thrown bullets back at you?

yaaaas

It's good to see people using the free running aspects better, the first few vids i watched everyone was still running around like they're playing Cod.

Hopefully my Mirrors Edge experience will stand me in good stead seeing the "flow".

Fuck the haters this game looks
fun

With all the bugs BF4 and Ghosts have I never bothered buying them but Titanfall looks hot and hopefully bug free.

Finally some videos where the players use all of the mechanics! I do wonder, though, how long are the wall runs before a loss of momentum. They seem to go on for a while.

That sniper vid is so great. I'm slowly getting excited for the game again.

Theoretically how would you guys feel if the alpha visuals (textures, effects, ect.) are the final visuals?

It would be much better if the game was 12v12 and filled up any empty spaces with bots. If you want to help lesser skilled players, there are better ways, like giving bonuses to doing support stuff. Maybe it would help if the AI was less brain dead, but other than the video's fast sniper antics there wasn't a whole lot going on.

The maps would look completely different if this was 12 v 12. Just think about the space necessary if most of those people had a Titan at the same time. I really think 6 v 6 is gonna work great in this game, and the AI are just there to pepper the world with more life and also be some easy fodder, because who doesn't like mowing down a few derpy grunts here and there?

It's very unfair to lump Ghosts in with BF4 as being buggy. Ghosts is not a buggy game at all.

I would be furious, because it looks like dogshit.

I'm expecting the game to look closer to or better than the E3 and Gamescom gameplay demos, which I think both looked great. I'm not worried about the graphics, at all. I like the art style.

Could only really judge after having it at home but there's nothing necessarily "next gen" looking about the game at all currently. I'd probably be underwhelmed but happy if it played great and was fun.

Wouldn't care one bit as long as it plays as fun as it looks. The graphics are serviceable and I'm legally blind, so it's all good.

They wouldn't all have titans at the same time if the game was properly balanced around 12v12. From the videos I've seen, 90% (I know I'm exaggerating) of the action is taking out derpy grunts, which isn't what I come to a multiplayer shooter for. If the AI was better it would be less of a problem, but it looks pretty awful at the moment.

Yeah they have already sacrificed a lot visually to keep the game smooth just would be a slight bummer for me. Seems very likely this is what were getting

Just watched a few of the videos.

I'm amazed that this is what the famous Titanfall is. All that hype... and this is it? The map feels empty and is full of brain-dead AI. The Titans look like they play as nothing but larger soldiers who'll get forced into the same choke points again and again. They even reload by hand like soldiers. Maybe the map is so empty because players move around so fast, but to me it seems like the game actually does need more players than 6v6. The verticality of the levels looks like great fun, but the amount of wallrunning seems excessive to me, and the typical 'hold these 3 points' is incredibly uninspired.

I don't know... I'm so underwhelmed I'm almost stunned. If you put the pad in my hand right now, I'm sure I'd have a decent time playing it, but seeing as this was supposed to be THE next big thing, and it's multiplayer only, I was just expecting far more than what looks like a really basic and flawed experience.
