As someone who watched the leaked episodes (4-6), I can say that this season is definitely blowing the other two out of the water. At the very least half the season haha.

The fight scenes get amazing and nothing feels rushed plot wise.

Korra and part of the crew spend a good three episodes in one place, but all episodes take place in several locations.

Man, FUCK the Dai Li.

Seriously, they are never not assholes.

Anyway, three good episodes in a row. The coincidence of Mako and Bolin meeting family members was a bit much, but otherwise it was good.

Granny is gonna be a plot point. Like when your grandmother finds out you don't go to church, Mako and Bolin gonna have problems.

I don't think she'll be a major villain.

I imagine she'll play the same role as Long Feng in the first series. A major roadblock, but overtaken by the real villains (the evil foursome that I imagine will get name soon)

Yeah, I agree with that Kyledk05.

Caught up.
... This was actually good start. The writers listened to the complaints and fixed them.

Yeah, I thought that was an incredibly strong start.

They really did address a whole bunch of issues and just nailed fixing the pacing of the episodes (atleast with the 3 so far) and character interaction (the return of all the expressions on top of that is even more icing on the cake), some of the character arcs even nicely play into the stuff they're fixing and that people have been complaining about which added to how good it felt IMO.

Hmm there's Something about Kai though, i feel hes
somehow related to the villains in someway(This is just speculation) and he's going to get Korra & gang in danger

I dunno someones gonna betray someone in this season, I can feel it.

Solid start. No game trailer?

I'm surprised by this, was expecting a game trailer too. I guess they'll do it later in the show when we're closer and we're further into the summer? Though premiere night seems like a good time.

At the very least I do expect he'll
indeed get them into some rather bigger trouble.

Great three episode stretch. Only snag is that I'd like some background on how the harmonic convergence is imbuing the gift of airbending into people, and the implications that has on the balance of bending in general.

But otherwise, amazing stuff. Told you guys.

lol, Asami. Her shoulder tap was cute but that scissor kick guillotine was pretty badass.

She and Korra are definitely going to bang.

As someone who didn't enjoy Book 2 aside from Beginnings, I wasn't expecting much from Book 3.

I'm genuinely surprised that I've liked all 3 episodes so far. This is the first time I've been excited for the show since Book 1, so I really hope they're able to keep up the pace.

Eh too early for the celebration tbh

I'm very glad to hear that.

I liked it better then season 2.
It's still not great, and team Avatar is still bland as all hell.

Villain guys are holding it up for me.

Sounds great Joeytj.

I'm glad even out of Republic City this time they're keeping the mix of old and modern a little more prominently going, like the with motorcycle gang, I think Korra's setting is at it's best when they're playing with mixing both things together like that like in season 1 since we all know it takes place so far after ATLA.

Asami slays

and She's getting the

from korra

i cant wait for Her to de-wig more people

Korra GAF Skype Chat

Every week after Korra airs, we will jump on Skype and do a little podcast style chat about the episode, and things about Korra in general. This will NOT be recorded, it's just a casual discussion about the show/episode.

If you are interested in doing this: PM me the following,

Your Time Zone:
Best day for you to do it: (so if you can't do it after the episode airs, then what days are generally good for you)
Your Skype User Name:

The group chat will be very relaxed, and respectful. Not everyone will agree on certain things, and there might be criticisms brought up. But the point of the chat is not to just jump all over the show. Rather, it's more about everyone's own personal take and where they are coming from.

Again, PM me if you are interested in doing this.

Shameless bump. Just something we are working on organizing (won't happen tonight). And if you can't make the first one, let me know if you are interested in doing one or some in the future.

I've gotta be one of the biggest pro-Korra people on the internet, but that premier left me a bit disappointed. I like the general premise of new airbenders popping up and the resistance when they go to find them (sort of reminded me of the Promise with it's sense of moral ambiguity), and I really liked how they showed the tensions between the spirit world and physical world being one again, but I wanted to shout to the heavens when all the characters literally just sat there and said "lol, I ain't touching this" and just hop on an airship away from all of that to go to Ba Sing Se so they can walk into a situation that's waaaaaaaaaaay too similar to one that Aang and friends found themselves in. The super duper dangerous gang seems kind of cool, but there hasn't been enough of them to say anything... Except that it is kind of a step down from fighting the very concept of chaos; I get that there's a lot of "where do we go from here" when you do something like that, but they still have a ways to go in proving that they're anywhere near the type of threat Vatu was. Also, Kai is already over the line on how annoying a character can get before you start to wonder why everyone still keeps him around, so they've got to make him really endearing really quick.

I'm not the type that would let how I feel right now color my opinion of the rest of the show, but the first two seasons had me hype AF after their premiers, so it's a bit of a foreboding feeling.

The airbender recruitment was bad. Cringeworthy bad.

So... Korra wasn't annoying at all. In fact, it feels like her character has improved and grown. Overall, I would say this book is starting off in a fantastic way. Character moments were good, the villains in this are really interesting, and the world feels unique as ever (I love the fact that the spirits and humans are interacting now). Also, Zuko has a really good chance of being the Iroh I've been looking for in this series.

With that said, I know the creators of the show gave a pretty bad answer to the events of season 2. I hope they decided to try and explain some events of it (especially Jinora).

Pretty good, pretty good.

Although if Korra's dad was banished from the NWT and he and his brother weren't friendly how did they build a secret...

Nah I won't nitpick what was a pretty decent return to form.

Zuko and Eska were pretty good playing off each other.

Also was it just me or fire bender lady's line a little...IDK suggestive?

I thought of this as well -- Unalaq could have done this because he was in charge. It was Korra's dad who was banished. Unalaq was the leader of the NWT so he would be the one that Zuko would contact to build such a prison. Korra's dad, Tonraq, wasn't involved in the construction of the prison; Zuko just says "your dad and I built this prison..." which implies it was just Zuko and Unalaq.

Unless Tonraq was the one who said it, but I could have sworn that Zuko was the one who talked about building the prison.

The airbender recruitment was bad. Cringeworthy bad.

I mean, I thought it was funny. I just didn't like the scene where Tenzin thought the guy would uproot his life. I liked the premise because Tenzin is desperate to re-establish his people and it shows the obstacles of the future of airbenders being split up around the world.

But I don't get why Tenzin didn't offer the entire family to go. Or didn't approach it slightly differently. That was the only cringe part for me. But I liked the overall montage.
