Legacy of the Dark Knight isn't just one of the best LEGO Batman games—it's one of the best Batman games and one of the best LEGO games, an experience that delivers on virtually every level. It's even better when played in co-op.

GAMINGbible - Kate Harrold - 10 / 10
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight deserves to stand proud as one of the best games of 2026 and within LEGO and Batman's history.

GRYOnline.pl - Krzysztof Lewandowski - Polish - 8 / 10
This is a really great game for all Batman fans. It can be a bit rough around the edges technically, and the gameplay is a bit too basic at times, but it's hard not to appreciate just how much the developers love the Dark Knight in all his incarnations.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is the most extensive LEGO Batman game to date, but it isn't immediately the definitive version.

Gaming Boulevard - Lander Van der Biest - 9 / 10
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight brings the spirit of the Arkham games into the LEGO universe in a way that clicks. Gotham is a joy to explore, the combat feels great, and the humor keeps the darker Batman lore light without losing its charm. The lack of online co-op is a shame, but this is easily one of the strongest LEGO games in years.

IGN Spain - Mario Seijas - Spanish - 8 / 10
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a charming tribute to the DC icon that isn't afraid to take things with a sense of humor, inviting us on a journey through a less "dark" version of Gotham-but one that's just as memorable

INVEN - Seungjin Kang - Korean - 8.8 / 10
Layering LEGO's playful freedom over the Arkham series' proven gameplay foundation, this is the most Batman-feeling game in years. Its chapter-based structure weaves together homages from across Batman's vast media history, while an open world built around each Bat-Family member's distinct identity both honors the Arkham legacy and elevates the LEGO series to a new high.

Manual dos Games - Luiz Henrique Silva - Portuguese - 9 / 10
LEGO Batman: The Legacy of the Dark Knight masterfully delivers on its proposal to celebrate more than 80 years of the hero's history, bringing a story packed with references and GREAT humor, alongside a lively Gotham City that invites exploration, marking the beginning of a new era for the franchise, despite stepping on a few LEGO bricks with a somewhat repetitive combat system and little enemy variety.

MeuPlayStation - Raphael Batista Cabral Xavier - Portuguese - 85 / 100
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight embraces the Dark Knight's 86-year legacy with iconic stories, classic suits, and modern story arcs. Inspired by the structure of the Arkham trilogy, the game builds its own identity through lighthearted gameplay, charming humor, and consistently entertaining moments.

Multiplayer First - James Lara - 9.5 / 10
It's not often I find myself being blown away by a LEGO game. In general, they're games geared towards a much younger audience of players, and while LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight still maintains much of the playful, blocky heart and soul that makes the LEGO universe so enduringly charming, it also does something very impressive with the Batman IP, both narratively and mechanically, that makes it feel like one of those big blockbuster AAA Batman game that we would get from Rocksteady Studios.

With it pulling from 85 years of Batman history, this feels like a worthwhile tribute to the Caped Crusader. It's a reminder of why we love him so much, whether we first met him through the gritty lens of modern cinema, the animated classics of our childhood, the comics, or a pile of plastic bricks on the living room floor.

Without a question, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a must-play for all Batman fans out there.

PSX Brasil - Victor Vitório - Portuguese - 85 / 100
In a way, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is easy to evaluate: if you're willing to be captivated by either LEGO or Batman, or even if you just want to enjoy the simple fun of playing together with a dear one, there are plenty of reasons to join in the romp of defending Gotham on the Bat's long life journey. On the other hand, those expecting in-depth character and gameplay development should look elsewhere.

Pizza Fria - Lucas Soares - Portuguese - 8.5 / 10
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight stands as one of the most complete titles in the LEGO franchise. Its combination of open world, variety of content, and adaptation of one of the character's most popular stories results in an engaging and accessible experience.

Push Square - Liam Croft - 8 / 10
A referential and joyful deep dive into the world of Batman, the latest LEGO effort from TT Games is elite brick gaming. Legacy of the Dark Knight just wants to be an enjoyable time, and it refuses to falter from that commitment. This new LEGO Batman will be some of the best fun you have all year.

República DG - Ruancarlo Silva - Portuguese - 8.4 / 10
TT Games delivers an adventure worthy of the legacy of one of the greatest characters in entertainment, easing a bit of the nostalgia left behind by the Arkham trilogy in the gaming world.

Uagna - Lorenzo Bologna - Italian - 8.3 / 10
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is one of TT Games' most compelling productions, combining the irony and accessibility typical of the LEGO brand with the timeless charm of the Dark Knight. Gotham works, the combat system inspired by the Arkham series surprises with its fluidity and immediacy, and the campaign effectively condenses decades of Batman imagery. Some limitations remain, such as the limited number of playable characters and the side activities that lack long-term impact. However, nothing that truly compromises a rich and engaging adventure, designed for both longtime Batman fans and those looking for a light but refined action adventure.

WellPlayed - Adam Ryan - 9 / 10
Legacy of the Dark Knight's excellent combat and stealth systems, fun open world, and clear reverence for the World's Greatest Detective bring it close to plastic perfection.

It's been eleven years since the last Batman: Arkham game and almost twelve years since LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. The Caped Crusader's...

Why would you even enter the thread if you don't like LEGOs and won't be getting the game no matter how well it reviews?

Scores are pretty much on par with the Skywalker Saga and that game was so boring.

I hope this one is better.

Hey guys, here's my in-depth review (9.0/10) with lots of 4K screenshots: https://www.pcmrace.com/2026/05/18/lego-batman-legacy-dark-knight-review/

Some pics below (35 total in the review) — I didn't use spoiler tags for them because some people might miss them, and they look amazing. It's incredibly well optimized, even on low-end PCs, despite the ridiculous specs chart.

Hi there. Quick question papito, are there sidequests in the game? How long did it take you to complete?

That's something I can agree with, unfortunately. SW looked so good before it was released but when playing it, it was missing something. While the other SW games of LEGO are great. The positive reviews for this are nice, but doesn't yet mean it will be great for me as well.

Yes, there are lots of sidequests and A LOT of secondary content. Main story is about 15 hours (10 is you rush it, but that's not the point), but to do absolutely everything, it must be around no less than 50-60 hours. There are lots of collectibles too.

Interesting because this guy says in his YouTube playthrough there are no side quests

The article mentions using DLSS performance at 4k and frame gen to get 120 to 145 ish FPS. So a 5070ti at a rendering resolution of 1080p gets 60-70 ISH fps without framegen. Is that right?

What a surprise... well not really. The official PC spec sheets are mostly bullshit all the time. 30 fps with framegen part was absolutely ridiculous and no one with sane mind thought that its gonna be like that

Well, it depends on what he calls side quests. You have to do side missions to open fast travel points, find clues to do wanted posters, among other things. They're half-way between a proper secondary quest and a world event, sort of.

No, Preset L is much more aggressive than Preset K at 4K. You get better image quality than native 4K. FPS fluctuates a lot, but frame pacing is incredibly stable regardless. Performance can go as high as 180 FPS in some areas and around 120 FPS in others, with the lowest dropping to roughly 120 FPS in worst-case scenarios. What's weird is that sometimes you can actually get higher FPS without Frame Generation enabled, so something definitely seems a bit off there.

Honestly that game was unbearable, and I love both Star Wars and Lego. I'll wait and see player impressions for this one, obviously I don't expect a kids game to be challenging but Skywalker Saga was just brain numbing.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I really liked the environments and sound effects but it just really wasn't very fun to play in the end. It was all "wrapping". The IP, graphics, jokes and cutscenes. When you actually play it, you're always waiting for the good part.
