LEGO Pokemon (toys) Announced, Releasing 2026

jshackles

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

LEGO® Pokémon™ is a brand-new collaboration that brings your love for bricks and your love for Pokémon together. In 2026, we're calling all Pokémon Trainers to get ready to build and catch some of their favorite Pokémon!

I like Lego but not Pokemon, so I will probably not pay attention to any of this. There is a lot of content to mine for Pokemon creatures.

I like some of the Nintendo sets they have done. Like the Question Block.

Looks like first few sets for adults are revealed. Pikachu is underwhelming/should've been way better, honestly.

Kanto Trio is cool. Crazy Lego prices are what they are at this point, especially for that adult fan group. Display options are quite cool. Not selling separate Pokémon sort of makes sense if solo sets are planned later, but differ in many ways as they would for any separate set sku.

Can't say I can afford the big set. Too bad the badges are locked as a bonus but surely those pieces are easily available/common to build yourself?

Easy millions for Lego. Can't wait to just nose around in the store and see a very long line outside full of 30+ y/o waiting to get their hands on these sets.

What else did you expect? Any time they do something grand with Pokemon in a new space they have to pander to my generation first (Gen 1/2 Pokemon).

Gen 3 and beyond Pokemon fans can have the scraps after they are done serving us first.

The Eevee is kind of cool.

Ideal scenario would have been the Mega style sets made in Lego. I've already "crossed off" brick pokemon representation getting their starter 3 and Pikachu for 20 bucks, I'll keep my cool and my $650 lol. I might try to acquire that Blastoise from a broken up set later on though, always liked him and had blue version...

These look like shit compared to the Mega Bloks ones. At first I thought I'd wasted my money on those but I think I've had the last laugh here.

Before seeing the designs and just the Thread-Title I said "Well this will sell like hotcakes"... Then I clicked.... IDK really
Oh, yeah, Charizard with paper wings? The hamburger looking Vinesore?? And the butt ugly Pickachu? I think only Eevee looks good, the rest look like shit.

I wonder now. Comments have been very much about ugly or crazy expensive. Eevee is probably the only one going to sell out for a breath (it's lego, they resupply so fast), because it looks better than Pikachu, isn't stupid expensive and probably undermade if they thought Pikachu would be the hot seller.

For most people, it's the rumoured sets that have most potential. At least, I'm hyped for a couple if they're true. Those are more likely to be scalped, in my view.

I wonder if Mega sets suddenly went up in price on reseller market after this.

Those prices are insane on the pokemon. $650 dollar statue.

Lego is becoming too expensive.

When was Lego affordable? Sets were always the most expensive gifts you could get, at least from what I recall in the 90s.

And regarding the topic - cool!
Yeah LEGO was never affordable!

Growing up, I was allowed to pick only 1-2 LEGO sets a year for birthdays, Christmas, etc.

And I'd still end up with the cheaper sets from a series most of the time.

This company is making record profits year after year. Amongst all the complaining, they're doing something right?

That Pikachu is horrid, though. Even the Poké Ball looks messed up!

1 kg of ABS plastic is like 2 dollars. There's no excuse for these prices, even with design, licenses, manufacturing, packaging, and shipping included.
