Leslie Nielsen dead from pneumonia

Damn :(

I remember seeing Airplane! in the cinema when it was released. I was laughing so hard that I couldn't speak for about an hour afterwards because my throat was hurting so much.

R.I.P. Leslie.
 
Sad day :(

Great man. Loved him in his films, Naked Gun trilogy are some of the funniest films ever. He even made Super Hero Movie bareable. Not many men can do that.

Thanks for the laughs, Leslie!

I knew this was going to happend sooner or later but this still hits me hard. God, a world without Leslie Nielsen.
 
Honestly, theres not many actors/comedians that can make me laugh just by looking at them. Leslie just got it. I don't know if its because he always played it straight, or because his comedic timing was just immaculate. But just simple gags in movies like Leslie walking round a wall while others go through a door could bring me close to tears.

He was relegated to some trash in his winter years, but he was consistently the highlight. R.I.P Leslie. I was a fan.
 
Man, I saw this on the BBC talking about his "last movie before he was gone" before anywhere else, even flipped over to CNN and saw nothing there, then turned on my laptop to see for sure here.

RIP - a real legend in comedy movies.
 
A sad day, I woke up this morning to this text message from a friend:

So Leslie Nielsen has
died after a 2 week
illness in hospital.
When asked what it
was, a spokesman said
'it's a big building with
lots of patients and doctors,
but that's not important right now.'

This is the way I heard the news, and to be fair, I think Leslie would approve. He will be missed, and is truly a legend of comic acting.
 
My initial reaction was to cry but remembering Leslie Nielsen I'm sure tears of laughter would be more appropriate for a man that has consistently made me laugh since I first saw him in Naked Gun. RIP, you will be dearly missed.
 
As a film major, I have no reservations or embarrassment in saying that Naked Gun 1/2 are two of my favorite movies ever. Slapstick/goofy humor perfection IMO.
