Yu Narukami?

- Talks way too much
- Rarely is of any help
- Will always warn you about THE WOLVES. They'll nail it in your brain no matter how overpowered you are. Careful.

  • Stern and determined, but without being cold
  • Puts on a brave face, despite insecurities
  • Supportive and selfless
  • A huge softie when it comes to family

  • He's motivated
  • He's cold and calculated
  • Doesn't care for his brother
  • Doesn't care for guns

Vergil.

  • Is invincible
  • Wants to die, but can't
  • Appears unexpectedly
  • Not sure if friend or foe after all
  • Doesn't need to dodge your attacks
  • Doesn't actually exist

I'm actually surprised no one's gotten mine yet. I thought it was obvious - then again, a good point was made on the first page that there are lots of videogames and we all play different ones.

His belief in justice and his personal mission to help others often interferes with his desire to remain politically neutral. He is outwardly very cold, and distant, but to those who know him well he is a loyal friend and a fierce lover (if not something of a casual womanizer). He exudes confidence, but isn't afraid to run from a fight that would mean almost certain death. He hates having to choose the lesser of two evils because it is still choosing evil, and almost always suffers the guilt and consequences of living in a world that doesn't give him the option.

The whole point of this test is to determine if a character is well-written or well-developed. Some protagonists (proto-gone-ists) have an obvious advantage over others based on the genre that they exist in and the story-telling conventions of those genres
or in the case of the example above being based on a pre-existing series of novels where much of the character is pre-established
.

That is super Geralt.

People don't seem to understand the test. For this reason I diagnose that people haven't watched the Plinkett review of The Phantom Menace and therefore I prescribe that they watch it.

Here's one:

Angry. Like all the time.

Estelle from Trails in the Sky ;)

OK, no race, job, gender, roles, etc? I'll see what I can do to describe this character.

1. This character is generally quite brave and is willing to take on big and even dangerous tasks.

2. This character has father issues caused by a misunderstanding between s/he and his/her father about who the character is on the inside.

3. This character is somewhat oblivious to romantic interest from other parties.

4. This character is very focused on studying, learning, and understanding everything s/he can about his/her career path choice.

5. This character is generally optimistic in his/her outlook on most things (excepting the father's issues).

Has the amazing ability to pick up landmines with their abs.
That breaks the rule of the thread haha.

This character is willing to do whatever it takes for the one he loves, even if others must die. Despite this, he's incredibly friendly towards his enemies at other times and loves healthy competition.

Willy Wonka from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

While at times brash and cocky, this character tends to eschew his fame-seeking tendencies when in pursuit of the truth.

protip: if you have a nintendo themed avatar, it makes guessing your nintendo themed characters way fucking easier

that means you, posters below me

-I'm really strong
-I'm also rich
-I'm REALLY greedy
-Enemies get hurt when they bump into ME
-Sometimes I am immortal
-I can swallow an entire motorcycle
-I have a confirmed kill on another publisher's character

Who am I?

Those last few break the rules haha. You only need the first three. Well not the second, that breaks the rules too.

He's a brute, strong but disgusting, who is driven by greed. He's also a total weirdo.

1. Mommy issues
2. Prone to violent mood swings
3. Strangely charismatic and endearing

Sephiroth is literally the poster boy for mommy issues so I'll say him

Edit -

- He can handstand when he needs to
- And stretch his arms out, just for you
- Inflate himself just like a balloon

Wants to be big and shiny.
Is looking for something.
Potentially have daddy issues.

Edit: This could count as an occupation:
Is the leader of a sect.

- I like to sleep
- I like to eat
- I am nearly invincible
- I can breathe underwater and survive the vacuum of space

This one is too easy. Kirby.

Rereading this thread I think too many characters have daddy issues. I even thought one character having mommy issues was too unique.

- Lonely.

- Has severe cognitive dissonance.

- Little left tethering him to the world.

- Massive dependency issues that can lead him to exposing a hidden violent side.

- Determined, even in the face of unimaginable danger.
