PS4's start-up screen exists out of one (non-motion) picture with no start-up sound

In the "#4ThePlayers since 1995" video, we can clearly hear a 'start-up' sound for the PS4.

As you know, every PlayStation to date has some form of boot sound. You boot the damn thing and it makes a sound you'll remember years from now.

PS4 has no startup sound! Yet, clearly, Sony indicated this in this video:

Sure, the PS4 has some background music when you're in the main menu but that is obviously not the same as a start-up sound.

It is completely unacceptable that we were led to believe that there would be a startup sound. Even worse, Sony has yet to provide a statement, nearly 5 months after launch, on whether or not the startup sound is ever coming.

I mean, come on, even the Xbox One has a startup sound. How can you have missed this, Sony?!

Start-up sounds are a bit juvenile. I personally love them, but more and more consoles are being geared towards adults. Gone are the days of the sweeping, grandiose PS1 boot-up. Can you imagine a 40 year old couple hosting a dinner party, then turning on the PS4 for say a karaoke game and a PS1 style boot up reverberates through the speakers? It's a bit silly.
