Let's talk about mainstream pizza chains

Papa John's is just completely awful. Terrible, terrible pizza.
Little Caesar's is a $5 pizza. It's not that great, but it is for what you get.
Domino's and Pizza Hut are good, but just slightly too pricey that you'd rather just eat at somewhere a little better for not that much more money. Same with Godfather's, though I like Godfather's a little more.
Marco's pizza is the GOAT pizza chain. Just completely delicious. It's the only pizza chain that can at all compete with non-chains and local chains. It's so good. Though, to be fair, one only opened up around here recently.
Happy Joe's is a good local one in the Midwest. In the Quad Cities, Wise Guy's and Pizza Shack are also good. Villa Pizza and Sbarro's aren't good by the slice, but great if you just order a whole pizza. But then you got to go to the mall to get it, and no one wants to do that.

These threads always make me laugh. OP asks for Nationwide chain, people eventually start posting some little chain that has 3 location's in a tiny town in Iowa.

Hey, Iowa does have the best pizza! We got Happy Joe's, we got Wise Guys, we got pizza in our grocery stores (Hyvee), hell we even got pizza at our gas stations (Casey's). And it's actually good! Hell, Quad City Style Pizza is actually even named after us. And it's the bomb.

Really, WTF do you think mainstream means?

Yes, really. Nationwide and mainstream are not the same.

Nationwide would be something found through out the nation. Mainstream is something agreed to be recognized as popular amongst the majority.

The OP mentioned Hungry Howies, Five Star, Macros as his examples. Those are not nationwide chains.

Ya picking up what I'm putting down?

I fucking love pizza. I love watching pics of pizza. I could eat pizza everyday.

I'm so eating pizza tomorrow and maybe even tonight.

Hail pizza.

we got pizza in our grocery stores (Hyvee), hell we even got pizza at our gas stations (Casey's). And it's actually good

Hyvee pizza is alright, but my god, for gas station pizza Casey's is fucking amazing. Just tastes fantastic, and their breakfast pizza is just as good.

Big Chainwise, Domino's is the best big chain in the area. They really stepped it up a bit over the past few years.

Papa John's is next. Solid enough.

Next comes Pizza Hut. It's not too great tbh, but if I'm ever in a rare gorging mood, they have a buffet setup similar to Cici's, but with better pizza

Speaking of Cici's, the original buffet goes here. I don't like to do buffets too much because I feel obligated to eat my money's worth, but if I'm ever with friends or family and they're going for it, I'm game. Cici's pizza is not that good, but they always have a few flavors I can roll with, and those cinnamon rolls are addictive.

And then there's Little Ceasers, which I'd rank above Cici's. They win the "fast food" award with their cheap and fast hot n readys. TBH, I've eaten more of their stuff than anyone elses, because any higher in price and I'd might as well get nice local pizza. But it's hard to beat their convenience.

I used to like Pizza Pizza when I was younger. There was one in the small city I lived in. Then I moved to Toronto for school, and there was a Pizza Pizza at almost every street corner. It got old fast.

I truly believe no chain pizza has ever fucked up thin crust pizza. They're all amazing.

But if you're from Illinois/the Midwest, maybe you've had Monical's thin crust pizza dipped in their red salad dressing. That is the shit of gids., it is so damn good.
