A.K.A. Squid Beatz 2, situated in the east of Inkling Square, right beside an inkling jamming out to Dance Dance Revolution.
Having finished the single player campaign earlier this week, I was delighted that a rather fully-featured rhythm game was included in Splatoon 2. It's perfect for travelling and tuning out (or rather, in) of the usual turf war and ranked battle mayhem.
How is everyone finding it? If I had to think of a modern equivalent I guess it feels a lot like playing Taiko no Tatsujin/Taiko Drum Master with a controller, you can dual wield either side of the Switch's face buttons and triggers, and there are four note types:
-press any face button (though different face buttons play different percussion)
-press any trigger
-press face buttons on both sides
-press both triggers
as well as combinations of the above note types. Get a full combo on any stage and you'll get a Silver Inkling medal, get a full *FRESH* combo and you get gold.
I'm not really good enough yet to master Hard mode on a lot of the songs, but hopefully I'll get there.
