What you're looking for is an echo chamber :P

Better order some guns and have them delivered at the airport so you can protect yourself.

So the kids gunned down in Newtown just needed the option to be armed, right?!

PS: the killer didnt own the goddamn ASSAULT RIFLES he used to slaughter kids, his mother did. Why do people legally have assault rifles?!?

American gun law, as an outsider, is depressing, hilarious, shocking and completely idiotic.

Shouldn't his mother have gotten jail time for basically being responsible for not storing her forearms appropriately?

It should be a thing that if someone uses your gun to maim/kill others then the owner should be facing jail time along with the killer for not storing the weapon responsibly unless they can prove that adequate measures were taken to store the firearm.

I may be wrong but does having a gun license only cover the licensee, or does it cover the while family in America?

Neeson is right in everything he says and does and that gun company rep sounds like a child. Go home and cry moar.

Joking aside, as an eurofag myself I have to agree with the man, there's a lot of guns in the States, it's ridiculous.

You're a what, mate?

fucking hypocrite.

talks all this shit about guns.. but its ok to make movies that promote it for a paycheck.

that has nothing to do with gun ownership in America.

If he is so anti-gun. He should stick with his beliefs. Choose film roles that don't have guns. Go back to sword fighting movies.

I'm so tired of these out of touch overpaid actors complaining.

This can't be real....right?

Out of touch, lol.

...and this.

I don't own a gun in case your assuming I do. Do I believe I need a gun? Nope. But I believe if people want to own a gun for their protection it's their right.

A broken Glock is right twice a day, eh?

Except I think Leam Neeson is correct, and yes I am from Finland, so even though we have the right to own guns, we don't need to have the right to own pistols, machine guns, bazookas or tanks. Shit is too much in the US of A. Just cut back on your weird spending habits.

why are they amendments anyway? Was the original constitution not perfect? If so, why are these amendments held as though they are carved from stone and immovable - it is perfectly possible that they could be amended too, as society changes over the course of 200 years.

And for a company spouting the 2nd amendment, shouldn't they also realise there is another amendment just above it on the list that Neeson is effectively exercising?

Should he also stop killing people in his movies considering he's probably anti murder? Or do you see the flaw in your logic now?

I was unaware that PARA was having Liam Neeson arrested or imprisoned by the US Government. Or are you actually unable to notice that PARA is also utilizing ITS First Amendment rights?

Long story short, there was a wide contingent of people that did not like the Constitution being ratified as law. The first ten amendments were to appease them.

Chicago has some of the toughest gun laws in the country. And yet it has the highest murder rate in America. So who are you really hurting by banning guns...

Umm...:/ That's not even true btw. Chicago is nowhere near the top in terms of murder rate in the US (if you wanna claim that things changed in 2014 feel free to provide a source).

"According to the FBI figures, Flint, Mich., had the highest murder rate of any sizeable U.S. city in 2012, the most recent year available. There were 62 murders per 100,000 population....[...] Chicago, whose population is several times bigger than any of those cities, came in 21st, with 18.5 murders per 100,000..."

Why is it that whenever someone questions U.S gun policy, gun nuts act like they are trying to take all the guns away?

i'm not arguing anymore.. Now im just posting. =P

All jokes aside, is it true they sell guns in Walmart?

We just hand them out to anyone crossing the border or coming through customs. You have to have lived in the country in the last nine years though so sorry you just missed the cut.

Reading that PARA message, I really do feel the need to punch their whole staff in the face for being that brain dead. Maybe that will wake them up at the same time.

This can't be real....right?

Why isn't it real.

Fantasy is just that in itself fantasy. However, when you hold strong beliefs and are outspoken against them why would you be portraying what your firmly against?

As an actor you can't choose roles to act in roles that you believe in personally?

I've seen this forum herald celebrities who pick and choose roles and even talk to directors to change things that don't match beliefs they hold so why is this different?

Apparently challenging a law about right to bear arms is challenging the very foundation upon which the United States were built, or something.

Liam Neesons just shot himself in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about American gun culture (I'm an expert), but freedom and liberty are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in Europe where you can become successful by banning guns. If you screw someone over in America you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

Ah sweet memories :D sogood.gif

Chicago cooks their crime books to try and help the city's perception and keep some police members jobs. It's apparently working. If you've seen the wire, it's pretty much exactly what they do there. Still, they have way more more shootings than normal and very strict gun control. Not sure what the answer is there.

Yeah Liam, cause my gun is my home is responsible for every school shooting. Ever.

Except it not.

He didn't say it was did he?

It saddens me reading these stories every so often though, I read about a child who was killed by his younger brother shooting him in the head the other day. Something more should be done to stop idiots owning weapons, who leaves a loaded gun within reach of children!?

Guns are purchased around Chicago's borders and then brought into the city.

That shouldn't be as much of a problem if sensible gun control were implemented nationwide.

Sometimes it's not about the gun, but the craftsmenship and machinery. Sometimes a gun is just pretty to look at. A good number of that million is for home protection but I like to think another good number is just people who like own them, own them for the art of it.

Thats how I feel about it. I'd own one, but I personally don't have the money to spend on it. Plus I'd never use it, it would just be on display.

Airsoft guns are good for that and 1/10th the price.

That's absolutely what he's insinuating.

He's not bitching that there are irresponsible people that leave their guns out in the open. He's not bitching that there are too many guns in the hands of criminals. He's simply saying there are too many, period. Regardless of the context of how they're used. Cause school shootings...

That Jim Jeffries video linked earlier in the thread actually makes a surprisingly decent argument about that.

edit: this one

Rolled my eyes at "People breaking in your house just want your TV."

Should have known it's an Australian comic.
