Hello from all of the DONTNOD development team. :)
We’re still hard at work at the studio but would like to share the second Life is Strange Dev Diary for you to see more of the game we’ve been creating here in Paris.

This second video from the three part series is called The Butterfly Effect, and it explains everything you need to know about Max’s ability to rewind time — including how the concept originated and exactly how rewinding time in Life is Strange works.

If you want to ask us any questions about the game we’re hosting a Reddit AMA on Tuesday, January 27th at 6:00am Pacific / 2:00pm UK time. Hope to see you there!

Thanks for all the support and kind comments so far. The first episode is being released in just 7 days and counting, the wait for Life is Strange is almost over and we can’t wait to hear what you think.

Ok, that was my first time seeing this game in action. I'm definitely interested now. hope the first episode doesn't flop.

How much's the first Episode again? Really want to give it a try.

Episode one of five comes out on January 30 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 for $4.99. There's a season pass of all the episodes for $19.99. However, there is also a season pass for episodes 2-5 at $16.99, which allows you to buy and try the first episode and still pocket some savings if you decide to pick up the rest afterwards.

.

Seems to the be standard price for episodic gaming. I wouldn't be surprised if the first episode went free after a few months/when the entire season is out.

This game has multiple endings right? I am interested in this game, but I want my decisions to actually have some impact unlike in Telltale games :P

Yup, the game does have multiple endings.

“The consequences of a choice you make in a given episode will carry onto the following ones. The main narrative will move forward in the same direction for all players, but your experience of it will be customized depending on how you have interacted with the story’s protagonists. We will cram a lot of details into every cutscene and line of dialog that will make every play through feel very unique. There will be a few different endings, but not 67 of them.”

I'm so happy DONTNOD was able to find work after Remember Me. I hope that if this and their vampire RPG they find the success they deserve.

For anyone speaking German, here's a small preview/review: http://www.bild.de/spiele/spiele-vo...abenteuer-vorschau-preview-39422708.bild.html

Nothing really new or interesting in that article but anyway here's their résumé:

Fazit: „Life is Strange“ fühlt sich an wie Kino zum Mitmachen. Dazu gibt es eine lebensnahe Heldin, wie man sie viel zu selten in Computerspielen findet. Eines der spannendsten neuen Games des Frühjahrs!

Bottom line: Life is Strange feels like a movie to participate in. In addition it has a true-to-life heroine like you rarely see in video games. One of the most exciting new games this spring!

Music spoiler:
one song in the game is "Santa Monica Dream" by the fabulous Angus & Julia Stone.

Nice. Wish it was out already, the 10% discount code would've been usefull. Guess i have to wait a bit longer, really excited about this one.

The Telltale Games are fine and all, but i don't really care about Walking Dead or Game of Thrones, so having something not based on a TV Show is good. I will give Wolf Among Us a try sometime in the future, but Life if Strange seems like something i will enjoy alot. Go Dontnod! :)

This wasn't even on my radar until I watched that trailer. Looks very interesting. I'll wait to see what the consensus is before I buy, since Grim Fandango is coming out on the same day. But this could very easily be a purchase for me. I really enjoyed alot of the things they did with Remember Me.
