Life is Strange demo playthrough

I don't think it's inherently bad writing to have characters use vocabulary like "hella," because I know people that really do use that seriously, but I hope that they stop talking like that in the future. It just seems a bit try-hard to me. I like angsty games, but when they're angsty and teen-like, it's easy to become cheap and irritating.

These are mere concerns. I'm quite interested in the games, so I plan to pick 'em up.

I loved Remember Me but hated the rewind stuff with a passion, prevented me from finishing the game(got stuck on the car accident part) and just gave up...hope they are not as hard in this one...will try the demo for sure first before buying.

Do they have a release schedule for each episode? If they are making it in Telltale time i would rather wait until the entire season is over, really hate the format if it's not on a weekly basis.

Your expectations are completely unrealistic.

The art direction is interesting, gameplay "Ă  la" Quantic Dream, let's see if they bring something new to that genre.
There's something off with the textures in general (watched the vid in 1080/60). The lip sync clearly has a problem, or is it possible the game was created in another language than english?

Even though I love anything time related themes in general, will wait a bit before buying it, not really into episodic games in general.

It's fairly likely considering Dontnod is based in Paris

Very happy to hear there's going to be a demo. As hyped as I am for this, I still have some doubts/concerns.

Hopefully the demo clear those up...

It would be lovely if people would learn that gameplay videos are about the gameplay, not whatever commentary they prewrote.

The script is pretty awkward at points, like I can't imagine someone saying those actual lines. I find it weird that the teacher is angry that Max doesn't know Daguerre despite the fact that it's part of the assigned readings they haven't gone over yet, what a guy.

I'll pick it up though, it seems like dontnod fought to keep their original interpretation and that's commendable.

I want this to be good, but the writing has me cringing early. I just don't think Dontnod has the writers necessary to sell this brand of realism. At least Remember Me was very outwardly gamey, so it's cliches were more permissible. But starting a game in a dream sequence light house? That's gaming trope 101.

Very interesting based on what I've seen in the video, thanks for posting OP. Is anyone else bothered by the lip synch? Hopefully it isn't like that in the full version.

stumbled across this game today; loved the memory remix mechanics in remember me, color me interested. Also it is pretty neat having the setting in* Oregon
