Sure, it was it was impractical, but it was at least an outfit that a woman would reasonably pick out and wear.

One of my problems with outfits like this one (And the FF XIII-2 one) is that they make no sense for the character whatsoever.

I'd go as far as to say that a lot Japanese videogames need to rethink their costume design in general. :/

..ok, that's not saying much but they made a more interesting pair that any other in the game. Actually is more feasible that Toriyama creates a new character based on him than let that happen so you won't probably see that.

to be fair, titania is still wearing pointless heels (albeit short heels).

and the new fire emblem seemed to be a bit more... unrealistic in terms of female attire.

You most likely aren't. There is something intriguing about fully clothed video game women. Leaves more to the imagination. But I still got a weakness for scantly clad video game women.

Similar to her outfit in FFXIII-2, her upper body is covered in a black armor, while the lower part features a body suit. Lightning is also wearing elements of a classic white mage&#8217;s outfit, including a white cape and red gloves.

That sounds pretty damn awesome. I'm a career WHM, and I love their AF armor. Love the cape too.

The black armor sounds like a throwback to the original Kamikokuryo designs also.

On her left arm is a shield that looks like something you might see in Mobile Suit Gundam. Her sword is also different, now a reddish and yellow color.

That's my biggest concern though regarding the armor designs. Nomura is probably helping just with her standard's one... and I don't think S-E has many other character designers currently that could be of great help in designing those.

I'm not worried. The alt. costumes in XIII-2 were pretty good. They design tons of armor and outfits for XI, and XIV. They definitely pulled it off in X-2 also.

Lightning also swaps between various "jobs" or ability sets, and will probably have variants of classic job AF armor if the WHM gear is any indication. BLM for sure. Probably PLD too. Serah and Noel also had WHM and BLM gear.

I just looked at the picture before reading and was confused for a little bit lol.

I love Lightning but they're turning her into something a little crazy with all that stuff. Less is more IMO, Serah's WHM outfit was so fantastic, I really would have mained her in that the whole time if it hadn't come out after I had 100%'ed the game.
