Lines in videogames that are pure hype for you?

You know what? I'll get more specific now that I've thought about it and had a few more sips of bourbon.

You know Bulletstorm?

The intro sequence? Yeah.

"And a sudden plunge in a sullen swell, ten fathons deep...on the road to hell"

I mean, the rest of the game was pretty much dick and fart jokes but that shit was pretty dope.

Culex's little monologue might sound edgy, but i mean, he IS the one out of place character in Super Mario RPG, so you know that when you find an edgelord in the happy go lucky world of mario that it is going to be one hell of a fight.



Some stuff you can do to speed up the Mettaton fight:
The following actions boost your ratings considerably:
-Throw the stick at him
-Change armor at least once
-heel face turn then get deliberately hit
-Only use healing items bought from Burgerpants, the more expensive the more effective
-write the word "Legs" during the written essay part
-Pose dramatically if you're low on health and think you can dodge the next attack

Great line, although I think Blade Wolf theme kicking in at a certain time is the most hype thing in the game.
 
All the Joshua Graham lines in the Honest Hearts DLC from NV, whatever he says i just wanna storm out and kill some chalk covered assholes.

For a more specific line, I'll go with one of the most flat-out heroic moments from Mass Effect:
"Alliance ships move in! Save the Destiny Ascension!"

Space opera is rare enough in general, nevermind in video games, and I am an absolute sucker for ships warping/jumping/whatever in to save the day, so that scene is an absolute joy for me.
 
Playing Mass Effect 2 for the first time and last night I was doing the Shadow Broker mission when
Tela Vasir
took a hostage and tried to blackmail me to let her go or she would kill it but my paragon Shepard was NOT having any her shit:

I sacrificed hundreds of human lives to save the Destiny Ascension.

I unleashed the rachni on the galaxy.

So for your sake I hope your escape plan does not hinge on me hesitating to shoot a damn hostage!

Also, while we're on Mettaton, the bit where he goes "REAL DRAMA! REAL ACTION! REAL BLOODSHED!" with a boss sounding version of his theme plays and you get into the battle is a pretty good moment too.

That level is full of boss lines.

Lord Hood: What for Master Chief?
Master Chief: To give the Covenant back their bomb.

Then much later in the game:
Here's a better question.
Do you wanna have a bad time?
Because if you take one more step...
You are REALLY not going to like what happens next.
Then your character takes a step right away, without missing a beat.
The game had been building up to that point the entire game, and oh god did it deliver on that hype.

Yes it is a bit cliché but even after all these years, this revelation still remains etched on my memory. Thinking about it gives me goosebumps.
