These new motitors continue to push the boundaries. Love this stuff even if I'm very content with my own.

Text clarity improvement finally makes it worthwhile. Particuarly in 1440P models. 2x durability with Ai is nice as well.

Tempted to upgrade to the 32" Samsung G8 OLED.

Any gen 3 32:9 monitors coming out?

I have the gen 2 49 inch g9 OLED now

Don't think I'd ever be able to downgrade from 32:9. It's such a game changer.

Heck, my monitor is fine, I don't need another monitor, plus I spent a lot of money on christmas, but I want that damn 32" 4k OLED 240hz monitor, it's just perfect.

Not interested in Samsung's QD-OLED HDTVs until they support Dolby Vision.

Sad thing is they have these incredible panels but no one's gonna do a TV based on them this year except Samsung.

I hope they have better protections against burn in. 1st generation monitors have burn in left and right at this point.

They claim compensation algorithm is 1.5x times better now but OLED is OLED, it's gonna burn-in at some point from static elements displayed for thousands of hours, they will never make them completely resilent to burn-in.

Use it as a secondary monitor, buy cheaper normal IPS monitor for 1/5 of price of OLED monitor just for web browsing and stuff and you get both peace of mind and outstanding picture quality.

Today I learned there's a name for it (soy face), I didn't know. I wonder why they need to do that in Youtube thumbnail, the algorithm is really weird.
It's because it draws attention from the majority of viewers, which in turn draws more clicks. Most creators hate it as much as we do, but the data is irrefutable. When you make Youtube your career and are focused on volume, soy face wins.

I have exactly the reverse reaction. When I see those faces, it feel they are clickbait videos.
