List of PS5 Pro enhanced games

Avoiding channels like DF has improved my gaming life immeasurably.

No I don't care about shimmering that only appears in one scene and you need to 4x zoom to show me.

This is where I'm at with DF to. I just don't notice the stuff they do and I don't need it pointed out to me. Hell it wasn't until this gen where I even started getting into 60 FPS only before that I was fine with 30.

I see that shit all the time with my 5080 using DLSS. Hell, I've seen graphical glitches playing at native resolutions.
Once I started figuring out how to get good framerates on my own (not even excellent!) I found out I really have zero need for %80 of their content.

The only time I will tune in is if their podcast is talking about something interesting, or if I want to look up a demanding game's optimum PC settings.

60 fps was absolutely a god send for me, but now I have a 240hz monitor, and I would honestly not tell it apart from a 60fps one!

Diminishing returns are very real with refresh rates imo.

My TV is 120hz and that has been fine for me. Anything above that is needless since I'm playing mostly single player at 4k-ish rez. But yeah, DF is largely irrelevant. I'll scan adamsapple adamsapple 's excellent summaries from time to time, but that's about it. They are interesting at the beginning of the generation when we are hashing out what is what, but now there are very few surprises anymore.

tbh I bought it for the QD-OLED panel more than the 240hz lol.

OLED is amazing, but kinda needs babying and I'm the super nervous type. You should see what happens when someone forgets the TV on a menu in my house lmao.

No words on framerate though. Evolution 2 ran unlocked on PS5 and was mostly a 60fps aside from very busy builds; this one has higher resolution, fidelity, more complex tools, and two RT features. However, recommended PC hardware is still a RTX 2070 Super, so I guess there's hope for 60fps or at least unlocked framerate on console.
Well There It Is Jurassic Park GIF

No 30fps cap on PS5 Pro.. so RT GI, RT Shadows at potentially 60fps. If confirmed 100%, this is really impressive to me in a sim game like this.

This channel shows you how to properly set up HDR for games, way more pragmatic than DF for normal players.

There is another guy on purple forum doing similar stuff and even better, but his contents are behind Patreon paywall.

I think it's good to highlight the issues in video games. The problem with DF, they can focus in the negative part from a pretty small area maybe you spent 5-10 minutes there. Anyway, I'm betting they simply analized the first hour to make the video faster. The shimmering with Silent Hill F, its specifically one type of plant, and even if you can watch some of them in your gameplay, the first are is pretty noticeable because the area is full of them

I love the Jurassic park series and I love dinosaurs since I was a kid. I'm very interested with this game. This could have been cooler if it has VR mode.

At which part did you notice the framerate issues? I've finished the entire thing on the pro and it was rock solid frrom start to finish for me.
The very last chapter going after you know who no spoilers, was the most egregious but even throughout the campaign a few times it dropped pretty bad with tons of action on screen other than that 97% of the game definitely was flawless.

PRO Mode runs PS5 Quality mode resolution and settings at 60fps with PSSR :messenger_smiling_with_eyes:

Seriously, native 60 fps with PS5 quality settings is all I want from PS5 Pro. Any compromise like 40 fps mode like Control/AW2 are bullshit, my 60 hz TV is from 2018 and the image is still beautiful, why the heck should I spend +1k to upgrade it?

40fps feels bad on new OLED screens, jittery and blurry. Don't believe those graphic bitches always defending those 30/40fps modes

HeisenbergFX4 HeisenbergFX4 Add DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT to the list, my man.
I knew they were going to add Eco mode, but not actual Pro support. I wonder what else they added

Then you shouldn't be buying an OLED... or be buying a 5090 or something.
That is stupid. The main reason 30fps sucks on OLED is because the almost instantaneous pixel response, so future tech replacing OLED probably will be similar or even worse for lower framerate content

Nice, I still have the game sealed and in my backlog. Now it's the right time to play. Quality settings at 60 fps + PSSR will do it.

I created a Google Sheet with a complete list of games with PSSR support, in anticipation of the PSSR 2.0 system update, coming this month

Around 85-90 titles are confirmed to support PSSR so far....

If you have any correction to suggest, let me know

Thanks, that's quite useful!
Could you perhaps add an addition listing all games that don't support PSSR but still got some kind of pro-patch? Like the Horizon games or Callisto Protocol?

It's their only niche. They have some great personalities and would do well to just do some interviews and technical analysis on hardware in start doing some PC stuff as well zoomed in 10x on a tree in the background just isn't compelling anymore to me.

I'd like to think the update will roll out this week with Bungies big release Marathon. I for one, can't wait to dive in and test all the Pro games!

my dream is we have a setup where this is not necessary and everything is just 60fps or 120fps and smooth and looks good, but for now it is helpful

According to the EA Community Manager NHL 26 has PSSR.

The information for Stellar Blade is hopelessly inaccurate and just plain wrong

Added Crimson Desert to PSSR list

Ships with PSSR 2.0 + ray-tracing

The PS5's SSD is key for streaming the huge world, for a start, and developers will make heavy use of the PS5 Pro's High CPU Frequency Mode to make viewing and moving through the world as seamless as possible.

On PS5 Pro, the recent upgrade to PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) makes it possible for Crimson Desert to hit 4K resolutions at higher frame rates, and its raytracing capabilities make lighting effects more realistic and natural.

Pearl Abyss also told me it optimized Crimson Desert for the PS5 through a number of features to help maintain all that detail at its large scale, making use of Geometry Shader Oversubscription and NGG Culling to render lots of elements without losing detail.

From the PSBlog, looks like the developers are leveraging Primitive Shaders on the PS5. Judging from the gameplay we have seen, the geometry is good but not Nanite level good, so looks like the developers are using Primitive Shaders primarily to increase performance (hence Geometry Shader Oversubscription), and also increased geometric variety around the world.

Always good to see a major next-gen feature get used.

Looks like the upcoming GB:F expansion will add PS5 Pro support. The base game only had two graphics options: a 1080p 60 fps performance mode and a 4K 30 fps quality mode.

It always bothered me back when I played it two years ago that I had to deal with playing at 1080p just to get 60 fps, so I'm glad they're finally addressing this with the new Pro mode.

Participants in the beta test for "GRANBLUE FANTASY: Relink - Endless Ragnarok" have revealed that the game supports PS5 Pro Enhanced. A "Performance Pro Mode" is included in the graphics mode, allowing for 4K 60fps gameplay.

Ohhh great news. I'm in the closed beta that starts today or tomorrow, I wonder if there will already be support.

Edit: Failed at reading, so it's already in the beta. I'll be taking screenshots and reporting!

So I've been playing the beta like I said and the pro mode looks incredible. Next to the native 4k quality mode, it looks extremely similar, maybe a touch softer. There doesn't seem to be any obvious visual noise/artifacts and I doubt the pro has enough horsepower to get close to native 4k when the base model was 1080, so probably some sort of reconstruction and based on the quality I'd say PSSR2 is very likely here. There also doesn't seem to be any breakup during motion/combat with heavy effects flying off. It's very impressive. The images below were taken from the PS app so some a loss of quality is likely.

Starfield with PSSR in both modes:

"On PlayStation 5 Pro, you can pick the look and feel that fits your playstyle. Pro Visual Mode delivers a 4K final rendering output targeting 30 FPS for maximum visual fidelity, while Pro Performance Mode targets 60 FPS for a faster, more fluid experience. Both modes are powered by PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution) upscaling technology."
