I'll echo this. I love pretty much everything Christopher Moore has written.marrec said:Anything by Christopher Moore. Edit: Dirty Work is fantastic. So is Fool. So is Lamb...
Anything by Terry Pratchett. Edit: Literally anything.

Also, anything by Terry Pratchett.

Anything by Terry Pratchett. Edit: Literally anything. Good Omens if you don't want her to get sucked into buying every Discworld book written. Which is like 40.

Also, Night Watch isn't the last good Pratchett novel, Unseen Academicals was great.
Apple Sauce said:I wouldn't say anything. Night Watch was probably the last great Discworld novel.
If you're going to start I'd recommend starting with something like Guards Guards or Mort maybe Equal Rites. Basically any book where major recurring characters are introduced.

I'd gone off Disc World novels a few years ago myself, but maybe I'd start with the Light Fantastic and see if she likes that. Good Omens is a great suggestion, I haven't read that in a long time, but I remember it being pretty funny.

This wasn't a joke suggestion, by the way.
It seems quite YA and it's a quick read but it's quite witty and very British. I first read it as a young teen and a lot of the jokes went way over my head.
Later books where he's an adult can be annoying though.
