Little Big Planet Recreated In Project Spark

Seriously dude? You don't need to be a game designer or programmer or whatever to create this stuff, plus it's free, hence this is the one game where I feel like I can say, if you don't like it, then let's see you make something better.

I haven't tried messing around with Spark yet myself, but the more stuff like this I see the more I really want to give it a shot.

i don't think he was insulting the guys work just the game in general, the materials and lighting and everything looks pretty ugly.

Watched the Giant Bomb video and I loved the idea of Spark Souls. lol

Yea that seemed fun.

I always enjoy these types of games so I am hoping this one has legs. They really need to figure out the monetization though. Way too much for all those packs.

I appreciate by putting the work out there you could argue he is open to criticism but seriously guys!

this is someone who has taken their time and effort to offer something for free, try to appreciate that

constructive criticism I am sure he/she would welcome, try to offer that, or if you can not say anything nice.....you know the rest

I've yet to see anything created in this game that looks like fun. Doesn't seem to be the lbp killer

it never will be as by all accounts creating anything advanced takes a fair bit of programming skills and you have to buy the packs....

so you are asking creators to struggle with the interface and pay for the pleasure, never a good idea

So the predominate visual theme in Project Spark is...

Buzz Lightyear's chin?

"Ten of your favourite non-copyright infringing characters!"

"*WOW Female character models!*"

LOL. That part killed me.

I'm pretty sure only "hardcore gamerz" underrate LBP. It seems to sell quite well and has been very well received critically. It's just not "cool" to like.

Yeah, didn't both LBP1 and 2 sell over 5 million each? People don't seem to realize that LBP is bigger franchise than they think.

Not really meant to be. It's more of a game creator than LBP is, while LBP is a game with some creative elements.

The game types you can create in this seem a lot more limited though, from what I've seen. People make all kinds of crazy shit in LBP.

Wow. It's the Internet, but you don't have to be so rude.

This is just some fan made creation, appreciate it for what it is or ignore it.

People complaining about framerate, goodness.

You can pretty much make anything in project spark
There's a lot of great stuff the community has made

I think most of us recognise the amount of effort that's gone into creating this and that's certainly commendable. But, I guess, Project Spark is where the blame lies - it doesn't seem capable of reproducing the charming visuals of LBP. Fair play to the creator for trying but yeah... This is nightmare fuel, sorry.

I went in expecting to see a spot-on recreation...and well. It's a big meh. It's pretty ugly. That's not a hit on the creator for trying their hardest. Good on them for giving it a shot. I just think really creative people wouldn't try to necessarily "recreate" other games within PS. Try to create something brand-new that fits what the toolset allows you to do.

All I've seen from Project Spark looks like shit. I saw some video with the "top 5" games in Project Spark and it was all pretty bad. Can you actually create something worthwhile in this?

Media Molecule is a very special studio, with great ideas. Project Spark is a step in the right direction, but don´t expect that development studio to come up with a LBP killer just like that. Probably not even in their minds.

Also, the community for LBP is much more mature than the one in Project Spark, so give it time before the creations are on that level. I mean mature as in they have had experience with the tools provided by the game and have a very passionate following.
