Little Caesars Pizza. Yay/Nay?

Oh, and speaking of places where the side-dishes are the main draw...
Does anyone else go to Shakey's and just get Mojo Potatoes?

It's shitty pizza, but you won't find anything better at $5.

If you have money and want to sit down and have an amazing Pizza, you go to a local Pizza restaurant or high quality chain like Round Table. If you want to save money, Little Caesars is an awesome option. It's great when you have company and need to feed them quickly.

This means that no one should eat 5 dollar pizzas.

Papa Johns has a 6 dollar pizza. The extra dollar is worth it.

Essentially I would say that it's worth $5 and would taste about what you'd expect $5 of pizza to taste like. I would say its quality beats Domino's (with which I am the most familar, having worked there), is on par with mid-range Pizza Huts (Pizza Hut in my experience has the biggest disparity in quality of the national chains, they can be god-awful to reasonably tasty depending on the location), inferior to Papa John's.

If true, this is most accurate.

Is it Hot-N-Ready?

Didn't think so.

If a 16 seed beats a 1 seed in the NCAA Tourney then we all get free Cheesy Bread.

I do, haha. I don't even like their pizza. Mojos and fried chicken.

But little caesars, the 5 buck pizza is alright if it's semi fresh. It tastes like 5 dollar pizza. Not great or anything.

Their wings are crap there btw. I think they sit in the damn warmer? That's a bad way to treat wings I would think, heh.

I like costco pizza personally. Though sometimes the crust is too soggy.

Never listen to food advice from anyone that even considers saying yay to little caesars. I can not think of a worse pizza. The cafeteria staff made better pizza in my high school, and those were awful as well. I'd even say go with Digorno's before Little Caesars if convenience and price really is that much of a priority. At least then, if you're gonna hate your tastebuds, you can keep your slippers on and not have to leave the house. And, if you're really hungry, you can eat the digorno's box afterward. So, in a way, just about any frozen pizza comes with a free little caesars pizza! What a bargain.

Little Caesar's is kiddie pizza to me, as in my kids like it because it's bland and free of anything spicy or reasonably tasty. It's greasy as hell and has a taste half life of about 10 minutes. So many better (if not cheaper) options out there. But if you're high/drunk, it's probably the best place to go. Which speaks for itself.

I disagree about 'It's the best for the price'. You can get a personal pan pizza for 4-5 dollars at Pizza Hut that is way better. You just have to call ahead to get it.

Little Ceasers fails the 'next morning' test. It tastes awful the next morning (cold or reheated). That's how you know if a pizza is even decent or not.

It's garbage.

My personal "chain" pizza rankings (ordered best to worst):

Jet's Pizza
Marco's Pizza
Pizza Hut
Hungry Howie's
Papa John's Pizza
Fox's Pizza Den (dat Stromboli)
Little Caesar's Pizza
Domino's Pizza (food poisoning from here one too many times)

History lesson #1 about 15-20 years ago Little Caesars was pretty damn good. They specialized in specialty and gourmet style pizza's. Flash forward to today, and they are quite possibly the worst pizza's I have ever had.

They now use cheap bread that taste close to cardboard. The sauce is probably the worst you will find anywhere.

$5.00 per large is probably about whats it worth.

I like your list, accurate with the following caveats:

Don't know Marco's or Fox's Pizza Den, are they national?
-Pizza Hut varies wildly from location to location in my opinion. I have a suspicion that depending on the market they stock different ingredients, which I am positive from working there that Domino's never does (it is all consistently terrible). For "good" Pizza Huts, I'd put it where you've got it. There used to be one in South Florida right by where I grew up that made me sick; the closest one to me now (that old one went bankrupt) is very good. In gainesville I lived near one that was consistently mediocre.
-Hungry Howie's is actually not really superior pizza to Papa John's in my opinion, but I would order it over Papa John's for the guilty-pleasure flavored crusts.

I haven't eaten there in a long time, but these were so good

Yup. Crazy bread has always been the star of the show there.

Their pizza is a decent, cheap pizza. You get your $5 worth, and nothing more.
Costco pizza is still the best.

Yup, great stuff. Oddly, the pizza at our WinCo is the best in town. A regional chain and I have no idea if it's fluke, but $2 gets you 1/4 of a fantastic large pizza.
Remember when Little Caesars used to have those weird ass long paper packages for 2 large pizza?

Yeah, that was great. We had them so often as a kid.

Yep, both are national.

Hungry Howie's is definitely a guilty pleasure. Large pepperoni and cheese, $8.99 carryout special with ranch flavored crust. Sooo good. The flavored crust is what makes it. Papa John's is better from a variety and quality standpoint but I find myself going for Hungy Howie's more often.

Yup, all their deals were for two square pizzas, which they charge extra for now. As for Caesar's pizzas now, it's better than a $5 frozen pizza, but not better than any of the other chains.
I haven't had Caesar's in years, and I don't know anything about the "new" Domino's recipe really (other than that it still is not good, based on one bite), but I'd be really surprised if it didn't beat old Domino's. I really cannot stress to you guys enough how low-quality the sauce and dough were.

Anyone that says Little Caeser's is worse than cafeteria pizza or a DiGiorno frozen pizza, is guilty of hyperbole, or has the worst taste imaginable.

If you did a pizza challenge, I'd bet 90% of the public would prefer a fresh made Little Caeser's $5 pizza to that shit you mentioned.

I go there when I'm desperate, and I feel like pizza. It's not quite take-out quality, but it gets the job done just fine for $5.

Yeah, comparing it to cafeteria pizza is laughable.

Jalapeno Sauce Breadsticks all the way. Those things are just ungodly delicious.

Oh man now I want to go get some. WHY THREAD WHY.

Had Little Ceasars $5 pizza. WTF? Why are people complaining? It's cheaper than the cost of most hamburger combos and it feeds 2-3 people. Throw some hot sauce on that thing and call it great drunk munchies.

Walk in with five bucks, walk right out with hot pizza. It's not bad...

This is the only time it's worth it though. Sometimes I get a craving for pizza but don't want to wait too long to get it so I'll pick up a $5 ready to go. The problem is that it's somewhat false advertising because if you go in on like a Friday there's a wait time. I went once and they literally told me it would be an hour wait. Forget that. It's only good if you can walk in and walk out with one.

I honestly like it. It's obviously not top grade or anything, but then again I like Totino's Party Pizzas a lot too so I guess I don't care about that.

And it's 5 bucks.

5$ medium + a garlic or ranch dipping sauce is good times.

HOWEVER

there are two local places that do 7 and 8$ larges that include a garlic dipping sauce. but they take 5 minutes to cook.

Little Caesars is still alive?

...Huh. I thought they all died since there's like... none
okay, one
in the area. And they aren't that good even for "cheap" eating. For $1-2 more you could get a burger or splurge extra for non-shitty-tasting pizza for a party depending on how many guests.

I call it dirty pizza. I buy it all the time too. Its not bad its cheap and its easy just like a late night fling at the club. Hence the name dirty. Use it and love it.
