Little Caesars Pizza. Yay/Nay?

I like Mountain Mikes straight up pepperoni a lot.

Agreed. Those small pepperonis that curl up are so good.

If we're talking pizzas I will say that Round Table Pizza is the superior chain. They had a great pizza called the Big Vinnie back in the 90's. It was an XL 10 dollar pizza, cut into 8 big slices instead of the tedious 16, large pepperonis, crust made from a garlic bread sort of stock...Truly good. They kept selling them for years after the promotion ended.

I'm now standing in my local pizza shop waiting on a large pepperoni and 2 dipping sauces for 8.56. Fuck u late night neogaf pizza threads

Thank you sir for leading me to this:

Holy shit. I remember this ad! Total nostalgia trip.

....I'm so old.

I disagree about 'It's the best for the price'. You can get a personal pan pizza for 4-5 dollars at Pizza Hut that is way better. You just have to call ahead to get it.

Little Ceasers fails the 'next morning' test. It tastes awful the next morning (cold or reheated). That's how you know if a pizza is even decent or not.

This is true. We have a local pizzeria down the street that is very good fresh. But what separates it from the chains it that it heats up at least as good as the day before. Caesars and Dominos and the like sorta turn sludgy reheated, thanks to the heavily processed cheese.

It's garbage.

My personal "chain" pizza rankings (ordered best to worst):

Jet's Pizza
Marco's Pizza
Pizza Hut
Hungry Howie's
Papa John's Pizza
Fox's Pizza Den (dat Stromboli)
Little Caesar's Pizza
Domino's Pizza (food poisoning from here one too many times)

I take it you are somewhere in the Michigan, Ohio, Indiana area with those as choices (I could be wrong, but most of those like Jets and Marco's are more local to that area). But yes, Jet's pizza is some of the best chain pizza ever, seriously, if you ever see a Jet's pizza, go in and get a slice to go (most do this), you will LOVE IT!!

Little Caesars is for parties where you want to feed a bunch of people who don't care about quality for as little money as possible. You get what you pay for.

My favorite chain is Me & Eds, which I think is only in California... well also Shakeys for the mojos.

I can understand why you rank Domino's as the worst if you got food poisoning but it really is not that low down on the list in terms of the actual pizza. I'm talking mostly about pepperoni, because that's usually where comparisons are made. Curious though what was in the pizza that caused food poisoning?

Over here their $5 pizzas have 2 pieces of pepperoni on each slice. $5 isnt even a bargain either, most grocery stores have fresh pizzas(made in store not delicioso) that are loaded with meat for $5.

Secret tech: ask for the deep dish for $1 more. That way, they have to make a new pizza and you don't get one of those pieces of crap under the lights.

So yesterday, I was driving home and realized we had no bread to eat with our leftover lasagnas.

Guess who stopped to get cheesy bread last night? mmMMMmmmm

Decent for the price...

But Crazy Bread (aka Crazy Crust for you old timers) is and has been quality for years..

I find that the Little Ceasars Pizza kit (sold as fund raisers) are quite good and actually taste better the the normal "Hot N Read" 5$ pizza..

That kind of defeats the purpose of the promotion. The idea of Hot and Ready is, "I have five bucks and I need a pizza right fucking now". If you are just going to wait for a pizza to be made go to a better pizza place.

'round here, they often have a Deep Dish in the hot n ready oven so it's definitely the way to go

I enjoyed it immensely in the 90s as a child :) Always had them at K-Mart I think. Tasted good as a kid, not so much anymore :/

Got some yesterday because of this thread.

The pizza isn't horrible, but it's lacking in taste a little. I find Dominos and Pizza Hut to be better, but of course they're more expensive. It's decent.

Bread sticks are pretty good. The person didn't give me any sauce though :\

Thanks to this thread I grabbed some Caesars last night after work.

I remembered someone saying the Jalapeno Cheese sauce was good so I tried it with some crazy bread.

GOD TIER

I also had God tier diarrhea but it was worth it.

I apologize for necroposting in this thread but this thread and the posters' reviews helps a ton.

My guy and I are heading over to Kmart to get a 5 dollar pie tonight after work. Its been DECADES for me with this chain, last I remember was their awesome Big Foot deep dish pizza. We're super broke but we haven't had pizza in a good while (think months) and the 5 dollar pie from Little Caesar is looking appealing at least to try it once.

I see that there's lot of references in here about their awesome breadsticks. Cici's cheesy bread was awesome, and I see they're similar before Cici's just went for cheap on those. If the sauce on the pizza is okay, I'll consider getting the sticks next time with the sauce.

This thread is a definite YMMV. I understand depending on the hours and location, you may not get this pizza fresh. And there's definitely pizza snobs in this thread lol.

I gotta say, i LOVE the deep dish!

Reminds me of when they were big in the 90s and had personal pizzas. The new deep dish tastes the same as that! Ahhh memories of going to little caesars before seeing ninja turtle movies!

no. only get the deep dish pizza from little ceasars. And only get it with whatever toppings, extra cheese, and cooked an extra 5 minutes.

Otherwise, their 5 dollar pizzas are crap.

but the pan pizza is the shit.

yeah it's exactly like the old school personal pan pan. Even with the crispy cheese crust.

Ya I loved them as a kid in Mississippi. My parents would take us there all the time.

ask for the crazy bread covering on the crust, it makes the pizza tolerable for me. it honestly tastes more like cheap lasagna than pizza, but it's inexpensive.

The deep dish is slightly better than the regular hot 'n ready but it also costs $8 instead of $5.

At that point you might as well go to a better pizza chain.

The 5 buck take and bake at Papa Murphy's that they just started now renders Little Ceasar's unnecessary...

I mean it's not bad for $5. If I want a decent, cheap, quick pizza, I'll go to little caesar's. If I want an overpriced legit pizza, I'll pay $14-$20 at some local place.

The quality tends to vary wildly, as each individual establishment is individually owned. My local one is actually pretty damn good when they're fresh out of the oven.

That might be because all of my other local pizza chains blow massive chunks, though.

I just had this local Italian food yesterday in Citrus County FL called Morelli's.

MY GOD, best pies I've ever had. I had one regular large and it was huge. Like Costco pizza slice huge. The deep dish was a thing for the God's. I think I've found my new joint for pizza.

Had a couple of cannoli's as well.

There is a grinder joint in MI that I forget the name but my goodness their pizza's were great and the grinders, damn I miss that the most hahaa

Marco's is not as good as the one poster from earlier mentioned.

Ah ha, Mancino's. That's the name of that place.

For 8 bucks? A better pizza parlor? Where? Dominos? Get serious.

I'd take a Domino's pie over Caesars. At least they don't taste like cardboard when you reheat them the next day.

If I'm going to Caesars I expect a dirt cheap price for desperation quick pizza. Not $8 wait for a shitty deep dish.
