Little Evil Trailer | Netflix | September 1st

I finished it. It was entertaining and funny, more so in the first half than the last 3rd, but certainly not on the level of Tucker & Dale.
I enjoyed it, and that's enough for me.

Yeah you shouldn't go in expecting Tucker & Dale. It's an enjoyable movie, but it's nothing I'd go out of my way to show people like I did with T&D.

Saw the thread, read the OP that said it was from the people who did Tucker and Dale and went ahead and watched it without having seen any material for this prior. Was really disappointing. Movie was just ok but doesn't reach anywhere close to the highs of Tucker and Dale. Coming in with that expectation was a huge mistake. Also the movie looks super cheap, like a lifetime original movie.

Thanks for this write up.
I'll lower my expectations and watch it not expecting Tucker & Dale.

I felt the first 2/3rds were a solidly above average, and the last 1/3 was average. I am partial to most of the actors in the film, and thought they did a solid job. However, I thought they had a cool concept going at the beginning that meandered into the territory of stuff I've seen a million times at the end. I don't feel like I wasted my time, and I don't think anything about the movie was bad, but I wouldn't recommend anyone rush out to go see it.

It was ok. Adam Scott was good. Could have done more with his group of friends.

Did appreciate the Parks & Rec "Gary-Jerry" easter egg though.

I feel like the movie exhausted the Omen trope barely halfway through. I had fun with it though, just not as much as T&D.

Put me in the liked it camp, especially the first hour. Got quite a few laughs from me just the perfect tone with Adam Scott and enjoyed the nods to classic horror films like The Omen.

This is my kinda movie and my kinda humor, but even for what it is, this is a bad movie.

It's not good. The people who made it, know its not good. This is a complete misfire.

thought it was alright. Donald Faison is criminally wasted tho :(

I miss Scrubs

I got my housemates together to watch this last night and felt obligated to apologize to them afterwards. We struggled through this movie. I can't believe the minds responsible for Tucker & Dale could go on to make something so shallow.

Enormous waste of time. Blatantly tried to emulate Edgar Wright's style without understanding the reason for his style. I'd read somewhere that this movie subverted common horror tropes but it just... didn't. Demonstrating your awareness of a trope is not subversion. The tropes remained completely unchanged, they just made the main character say/do something funny afterwards. This shit was as bad as Hell Baby.

Also, I've never seen such overuse of the words 'buddy', 'cool' and 'man'. Fuck that was annoying.

Movie was okay, but that's it. Definitely not as enjoyable as Tucker & Dale. By the way they should've casted this kid for the Omen remake.

I watched this last night during my workout and uh... well the beginning had some promise but it basically went to shit by the end. Kinda wish I'd just watched Hot Fuzz again.

Also don't put Turk in a movie and give him nothing to do.
