LittleBigPlanet Karting E3 Trailer

Game looks absolutely outstanding, certainly what Modnation should have been from the start rather than the fail of their own aesthetic.

My only worry is frame-rate. All footage I see is really choppy, so hopefully they start having internal competitions to improve that next.
Yeah I am really excited about this. The different types of kart racing I seen in the trailer is amazing.

Did anyone on gaf try this game at E3?

Wow, looks brilliant. I bought MNR and spent more time creating tracks than playing it. Just didn't do it for me and the load times were a chore, but this looks a lot of fun. Hardly heard anything about this from E3, wonder why?

Its a good thing they announced this game before E3, would have got lost in the shuffle.

Actual game play footage I've seen from E3 seems to be pretty smooth, but yeah, these trailers have abysmal framerate for some reason.[/url]

Got any links to any video? I've noticed that whenever Sony do trailers for LBP and the Vita that have gameplay overlaid over other video (all the border guff for LBP, showing shit on a Vita screen in different gloves) the gameplay footage takes a serious hit as a result. Not the best way to showcase games, despite all the flash.

Oh they have a CTF mode,Treasure mode and score attacks in the story mode.

I literally am grinning with excitement. That music in the trailer is beyond beautiful, it feels utterly joyful! Give me it NOW!

LittleBigPlanet Karting has this incredibly stripped-down control scheme that makes it a cinch to just pick up and play. X is your gas button, circle is brake/reverse, and square uses whichever power-up you have equipped at the time. Additionally, R1 is your drift button, and if you maintain a drift long enough, you'll be given a boost. Some jumps have sponges dangling above them, and in these cases, your L1 button will allow you to grapple the sponge to swing and gain additional distance on your jump. One last control feature—and one that is tons of fun—is the option to have your character to swing its arms to smack other players if they attempt to get too close with the L2 and R2 buttons.

After having actually gone a few rounds, I can honestly say that the controls feel good. They're incredibly simple, incredibly tight, and just plain fun to use

Next to customization, one of the things people love most about this series is its quirky personality, and that's definitely been preserved here. From the cuteness of the characters to the way they pop when they "die," LBP Karting just has that quaint vibe we've come to love.

LittleBigPlanet Karting has a lot of stuff that is downright impressive. From the simple and precise controls to the insanely deep customization of pretty much every aspect of the game to its cute-but-not-obnoxiously-so aesthetic, this is a title we're pretty sure we're going to fall in love with. There's no official release date yet, but rumor has it that it's coming to PS3 by October 31, just in time for Halloween. Is a Vita version in the works? Sony's not ready to say quite yet.

did Sony forget about this? Could have shaved off some Wonderbook time to show this.

Could've shaved off some Wonderbook time to show anything.

Between all the Vita games and features that they didn't show, and other PS3 games like this, the Wonderbook demo being as long as it ended up being was pretty terrible.

Here's a show demo that's rather lengthy. I'm sure some of you have seen it but I hadn't seen it yet. Lots of gameplay and looks fantastic.

So good! I loved MNR, I can't wait to see what UFG does with this one.

Looks really nice but for me it will depend greatly on how it feels, I was not a fan the physics in Mod Nation Racers which I initially had high hopes for so I keeping expectations tempered with this one.
