LittleBigPlanet Official Thread: Live in your world, play in ours.

Man this weekend, all the big hit games are trying to get in my way of 100% the LBP story mode so I can have all materials. Refuse to continue my 3 scenarios until I get all parts.
 
Do you guys have problems with the text search? Whatever I can write it finds nothing...

I also have alot more "level failed to load" than usual.

Will the problems ever end??
 
Guys, just published my 3rd level, its a variation on a level I made in the beta.
Its called GAF Sky Rocket v1.0 by: ne0ism- should be on the 4th or 5th page, please play it and let me know how sucky it is.
OH and Goddamn Wurm your artistic ability is insane can't wait to play your next level!!!!!

This guys is making ice without using glass material. The hell? Is that a material i did not see in single player? Some i did miss?
Did he discover a glitch to mix materials?

Yeah, you get it in the level where
you have to release all of the creator curators from their cages. Once you release the dog, you have to go back to the bottom right of those rotating cubes so that it pushes a button for you and opens up the circles so you can get that material.

You see I didn't do 100% in all levels yet and this was some amazing material I was missing. I'm gonna go get it right now.
 
out of all those suggestions that was posted on the previous page, teleporters would make a lot of things so much easier.
 
littlebigworkshop is up and we still can't fetch screenshots that we took in game. that's all i want -- my screenshots.

edit: also, i don't get the fetish with these music levels. integrate them into an actual level if you want to impress me.
 
My level can use some loving. Even if it's not as impressive as a lot of good work around here, I still had a lot of LOL moments with friends. It's short, please try it out.

I would but the search feature seems to be down at the moment. "Sorry, no results were found for your search." for anything I search for...
 
Ah good times with Mik2121. If you guys like a challenge, I definitely suggest you try out his stage Sunset Runaway. It has a long section that made me feel like I was playing Bionic Commando. Good shit.

Also, his next stage is looking mighty awesome atm. Keep it up dude.

I'm glad you liked both stages!

I already said I really like your Azure Palace stage, but yeah.. I repeat it :D It was so fun playing 3 people, even though I kept dying, lol...
 
Not long to go!

Thought I was going to be off today, but actually I had to come into uni for a while. Works out better though. I'll be passing through town on my way home, and most likely be home with the game before I'd even have got up had I been off. :D

It freezes whether I'm online or not. I've also tried deleting my save file and installed game data, no luck. Its hard to really commit to the game when you can only play it for 30 minutes before lock up. I'll just have to suffer through it and hopefully they'll have a patch to fix the issue. It seems like its not a very widespread issue, which is good, but I can't be the only person with the problem

Anyhow this game is great, up untill now I've really only played the singleplayer. Can't wait to start and create some shit. I got the game yesterday, and tried to demonstrate the editor to a few friends last night...didn't really work out :( Should have looked into the editor first before demonstrating it :lol


Can anyone tell me if you can build levels with friends? (for example: four players in the level creator)

Yes, offline. Online level creation will be in the first big update.

Just about to ask this. I can't get on either.

With that, another shameless plug. If you guys could check out and heart my Mario music level, I'd appreciate it. It's not the best level ever, but it was at 30 something hearts yesterday, and I think it's my best shot at 50 hearts. It's called Mario Theme v. 1.0 and my PSN ID is N1ghtz.:D
 
I've been gone all weekend, do we have a compendium of good GAF levels yet?

I tried playing some last night and was pretty stoked that the servers were silky smooth!
 
I just got the game, and I got the can't connect to the servers thingy, but is that the reason I don't see my nickname in the score boards, but the "user" name of my offline profile ?
 
So can nobody answer my question ?

Does the game always show your offline username ? Or only now that the rankings / online mode is offline ?

Does not. Installs in a separate data file which requires an asian version of the game.
 
Does anyone else have problems with the online play in Little Big Planet? For me, sometime when i play LBP online, a loading screen pops up, and then my whole PS3 is freezing. I cant even access the in-game XMB. And how do you invite friends into a game?

Also, i have the american version of LBP, but i live in Europe. Can this be a reason for why i'm having trouble with the online play?


EDIT: I can also mention that the music is still playing when my PS3 freezes. The longest i have waited before resetting my PS3 after i get this problem is maybe 2 minutes, so i'm pretty sure that the PS3 has frozen and that it is not extremely slow loading, especially since i cant access the in-game XMB.

The only problem I have is I will join a game and it will shot the other guy racing through the level at like 4x the speed then it slows down and I eventually pop in at a check point.

Ye, i've had that problem as well, but as you say, eventually the speed slows down and it works like it should :) When i think about it, it might be that i have mostly experienced that my PS3 is freezing if i'm playing with more than just 1 person, but unfortunately i'm not so sure :(

It's great. Really challenging and it's kept me busy with trying to collect all the items as well as completing levels without dying for other bonuses... Lots of replayability as some portions need 2, 3 or 4 players to complete as well.
