Epic. What about demo?
Kicking ass in the arcade felt natural and fun. Lollipop Chainsaw is a fairly button-mashy excursion. Sure, you can methodically time swipes of the chainsaw, but blindly brandishing the candy-coated power tool is just as effective. I dug sawing zombified video game nerds in half with the push of a few buttons. Juliets flashy acrobatics and short-skirted antics are mixed up with some quicktime events as well. Several times I took on the role of Juliets decapitated boyfriend, Nick, as his noggin was placed on a hapless corpse and piloted through some unique scenarios. In one instance, I executed timed button prompts to team up with Juliet for a high-flying cheerleader trick to launch the heroine to a high platform.
The slicing and dicing was also mixed up with some retro gameplay. Juliet is sucked into a video game during her stint in the arcade. I trekked through Suda 51 versions of Pac-man and Elevator Action during my time with the game. Securing keys while avoiding the ravenous, pixelated predators was a good time. So was sawing through one of the Pac-man wannabes from the inside out after being swallowed alive.
One of Shadows of the Damneds highlights was easily its boss fights, and the same goes for Lollipop Chainsaw. I faced off with Josey, a funky, neon pink hybrid of Baron Samedi and Bootsy Collins. The keytar-wielding superstar flies a UFO around a circular arena while players take pot shots with the chainsaw blaster. Fortunately, gunplay in Lollipop Chainsaw feels just as reliable as in Shadows of the Damned. I loved gunning down Joseys spaceship while dodging the 8-bit bombs being tossed towards me. The altercation concluded with Juliet and her father teaming up to cleave the funkmasters starship in half while rescuing Rosalind. Were not sure what exactly led up to Juliet and the gang needing to rescue her sister, but were looking forward to seeing what happens next in the bizarre tale.
This week's Dengeki PlayStation has details on a few collaborative costumes. The game will have costumes from a number of anime and manga properties, including:
Highschool of the Dead: Saeko Busujima and Rei Miyamoto
Deadman Wonderland: Shiro
Is This a Zombie?: Haruna
Manyu Hiken-cho: Manyu Chifusa
Dengeki also reveals that the game will have system-specific bikini costumes. PS3 has "Multi Border Bikini." The 360 version has "Seashell Bikini." These items have to be unlocked using in-game currency. However, it seems that buyers of the premium version will be able to use a code to access both.
Earlier, we reported that the voice of Juliet will be different in the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. The PS3 version is voiced by Yoko Hikasa. The Xbox 360 version is voiced by Eri Kitamura.
According to Sokuho's summary of Dengeki's report, you'll be able to switch between the two voices once you've cleared the game. It also appears that the premium version will give you immediate access to both voices.
Yes, the Premium Version has both voices. It'll also feature a "full violence" mode. That's where blood will spray out instead of the pink glitter and sparkles.

Is This a Zombie?: Haruna
Warner Bros. brought a new build of Lollipop Chainsaw to the Game Developers Conference, which took place inside an arcade full of zombies. The level (level four, to be specific) began with a cutscene of Juliet Starling and her father riding a motorcycle. Juliet sat in the sidecar with her boyfriends talking head. This awkward first meeting with the parents got stranger when Juliets dad questioned Nick about how he was going to help with the family business: killing zombies.
Is he going to throw stars and chinchillas with his tongue?, Juilets father asked. Nicks tongue is very limber, Juliet replied and Nick humbly countered with: Sir, she doesnt know that. Dialogue in the game was written by Hollywood screenwriter James Gunn who adapted Grasshopper Manufactures original script.
After slicing through three zombies, Juliet was digitized into Suda 51′s take on Pac-Man. This mini-game had Juliet run around a maze as a sphere-shaped yellow monster with dog ears and fez tried to gobble her up. I had to grab eight keys without alarming the giant yellow head. When I was spotted, the yellow sphere turned red and angrily chased Juliet.
Lollipop Chainsaw switched back into a zombie slasher after completing the level. Back in the arcade, there were more zombies to dice up and survivors to save. I raced up rafters to rescue a girl hanging onto a ledge for her life and a guy surrounded by zombies. I dispatched the zombies, but couldnt get to the girl in time. (I guess I shouldnt have horded all of those coins ) I managed to save the guy who rewarded Juliet with more coins. I spent these at a nearby shop to buy a new attack for Juliet and a couple of lollipops to restore health. Other items in the shop include MP3s (not actual MP3s, but songs for use in game) and concept art.
Completing this area brought me into another video game, one inspired by Elevator Action. Nick makes a joke saying that he wouldnt mind doing some side-scrolling with Juliet. I went up an elevator and ran into a pixilated cowboy that fired bullets at Juliet. While it wasnt obvious, the Elevator Action area has a foreground and background. Moving between these is the key to dodging bullets. I ran through this area opening doors to move forward and bouncing off zombie heads (a QTE mini-game).
DAY ZERO ALL OVER MY FACE

if only this costume can come to the west I'll gladly buy this day one.
I am disappointed in myself for caring about this![]()
I don't even understand why there are system specific voiceovers. I really hate this generation, and I can't even imagine how much all of these costumes are going to cost once they eventually hit US and EU.
Where is that bikini camera pan gif??
Disapointment gaf.
Yamaoka is writing the score for this, correct?

Bless youYup.
Don't worry, bikin gif will be in there. If anyone else happens to have any rare art, cosplay pics, gifs, etc...don't hesitate to post them here or PM me them! I'm going to be incredibly busy with other stuff in June, so I want to get as much of the OT done as possible.
