This is an important issue.

So yesterday my Gold Headset snapped in half. Hated this thing.

I always take a shower after work - wet hair and headsets lead to messed up hair.

Basically I´m looking for something like this:

In headset form that works with PS4.

Does it exist?

Any recommendations?

EDIT: Forgot to say - earbuds are not an option because A: I hate sticking stuff in my ear and B: I like keeping a connection to the outside world.

It's not that you're going to put them into water. If you pre-dry them with towel, I don't see any problems with having wet hair and headset. I had wet hair while usingmy headset too and I didn't die.

You could use the free 'headset' that came with the PS4 for that after shower period. I know I use that thing when I still want to go out and prevent my hair from getting messed up or when the temperature is high (Gold headset is way too hot then).

I would say use speakers and just lower the volume then. You could put an earbud in one ear, go mono. Can you get a headset like the one in the OP and connect it to your speakers, TV, or whatever? 3.5mm

Lol. Funny. I enjoy hearing about hair issues. I have long wavy hair and use headsets all the time when playing games. Pulse Elites. I wait for my hair to dry or do the ponytail thing. Never really had a problem.

I don't understand how people snap the Gold headsets from Sony. I've had PS3 and the PS4 one and still intact.

Not really. leaving it to air dry is the healthiest thing for your hair.


OP could try bone conduction headphones like those by AfterShokz. I have no idea if they are actually any good though.

This is what I do. If I need to keep an ear out for my kids while gaming I just leave one earbud out. Either that or keep the volume low, but for some games it's better to have one earbud and the family room speakers muted.

OP you should just google "wrap-around gaming headset." Seems like that's what you're looking for. After just a quick glance I found these....no clue if they're any good or not, you'll probably want to do more research.
