Hair drying is not healthy for your hair anyway

When you have wet hair just use earphones, when you don't just use the regular headphones

I tend to wrap my head in a kerchief and when im done gaming is dry and awesome. I have to comb it first, then just put the kerchief on top. I use both gold headsets and cloud IIs.

I just use normal headphones tilted backwards.

Kinda weird on the ears at first. Now it has become my life.

Edit: also for the same reason as you. My hair is fabulous.

Hair drying is cutting right into my gaming time.
Seriously? You mention 3-4 hr sessions and you are worried about 5-10 min to dry your hair. dealwithit.gif!

Most better headsets are either earbuds or over the head, especially for consoles. You could get a USB DAC and use any headphones but I am not certain that supports Microphone out.

Man I hear you op, I hate it when I get out of the shower, get prettied up, only to have my hair a mess right before I go out because I decided to play a bit of destiny with the head set

I find this hilarious and relatable but I was filled with too much shame to admit that was the motivation behind why I chose the certain types of headsets/mics I've been using since the 360

This is a legit problem that is not easily addressed. It takes 1-2h for my hair to dry and hair drying is not my thing (makes my hair way more curly than usual).

No solutions to propose though OP. It's the decisions we make in life breh. Play without headphones for an hour maybe?

Not really. leaving it to air dry is the healthiest thing for your hair.

OP could try bone conduction headphones like those by AfterShokz. I have no idea if they are actually any good though.

Exactly. Plus if he doesn't live alone he may need to use headphones so he doesn't bother his wife/partner and daughter/sons, or if he plays MP in a group.

I feel you OP, had long hair for decades.

I used push to talk but is not a solution for consoles. Sry I can't help :/

As an Oculus user, I sympathise. Pre and post gaming maintenance of any sort is a right pain.

Seriously though your requirements are pretty specific. I second the "whatever headphones you want plus a modmic" approach if it's PS4-compatible, by far the best experience I've had headset-wise.

Or just use them like Putin:

Are you trying to impress someone with your hair whilst playing games at home? If not, just fix up your hair when you're done playing games...

1) Buy any nice headphones you like that have a removable cord.

2) Buy a V-Moda boommic and use that [it is a new cord with a fantastic mic and volume control].

I use and love my SteelSeries Siberia Neckband Gaming Headset.

I liked it so much I bought a couple. Great for when your working on skype, etc, but also have big presentations too.

Never use a hair dryer, if you care about looking young and good....these comments.
