I don't know you guys, but the latest images of what is suppoused to be the next gen sonic were so appalling, that I am in need of posting the last hope for Sonic fans of having a proper 3D Sonic.
Thanks to a reader of my blog, I discovered lots of awesome amateur Sonic games:

First of all, this awesome amateur game, Sonic GL, which kicks the official Sonic's asses in so many fronts that it is not even funny (artistically included):

It is made by a single crazy French guy, and gooddanm, seeing these screens makes me want to fund him a game studio or something.

It doesn't "kick the official Sonic's asses" by any means, but it's still a nice fan effort.
Most homebrew games don't even make it to this state.
