I remember the control felt weird back in the day, the graphic also better than dark souls back then.
(maybe because the shape of character is kinda too bulky as well)
although i'm no graphic person, the combat seems bit off, i don't know why...
I kinda like the first one, but the newer main character designs are not my cup of tea.
