I'm only comparing her to other chicks on the show. Elizabeth Mitchell and Emilie De Ravin are much more attractive. I mean, you need to take it as a given that women on TV shows are all hot.
I'll give you Emilie De Raven, but Evangeline is definitely hotter than Elizabeth Mitchell.

Man... it was pretty hard to find I pic of Juliette...

*Note: see how the picture sizes are subliminally saying who's best?

Meh episode for me but then I never think lost is capable of stringing together two excellent episodes back to back so it wasn't exactly unexpected.

The flashback wasn't especially illuminating.
The Kate, Sawyer stuff seemed somewhat childish.
The Desmond storyline on the island was good in theory but not so hot in execution. It telegraphed itself way too much and was fairly obvious what would happen. Nothing wrong with that per se but it felt like it thought it was way trickier than it actually was. Desmond seemed fairly unlikable this episode which was sort of a surprising way to present him.

I suppose the ending is fairly significant but it wasn't exactly thrilling so I guess we'll see how that plays out.

I'll be in my bunk.

Elizabeth Mitchell's boobies in One Of Us disagree :D
Boobs don't make up for a face like a brick... and I mean that in the nicest way if you're reading this Elizabeth... I happen to like bricks...

My home is made out of them, in fact.

So that picture Desmond has and was also in the Catch-22 book. It was clear from the last Desmond episodes there is only only copy, yet there are two of them on the island. dun dun dun

It's entirely possible they had a copy of the photo made; chances are the photo was in the book because it would be used to identify Desmond should they find him.

But the photo was taken right before they broke up, like, minutes before. Desmond took it. You think they later got together and made a copy?

Did anyone REALLY expect Penny to be in that suit? I certainly didnt. And that chick better not be dead.

She's not dead, and no, I didn't expect Penny to be in that suit. Likewise, did anyone really think that Charlie was actually dead at the beginning? I hate it when shows do that fake-out thing and they totally fail. Lost has done some awesome fake outs but when it's just so obvious like this it falls flat.

I've decided to give the episodes a score when I review them now and this one was an 8/10.

Good episode, not as good as the other Desmond centric flashback but this one was very good, felt like a Season 1 episode or something, with the cliffhanger. Good stuff. The next episode looks interesting too.

No, but damn was I wishing it to be true. Lost just kept teasing me all episode with those flashes of Charlie getting speared. Don't toy with me, damnit! I've been waiting for that guy to die since his first flashback, don't give me a gruesome death and then take it away.

Ladies and gentlemen, perhaps my greatest post. My tag is useful, on the rare occasion.

Great episode, I love Lost. :D

I was disappointed we didn't see Desmond in the army, wasn't that an official summary too? I really did expect penny to be the pilot though. As Memles pointed out the book was in Portuguese, and there was the fact that the photo was a copy and not the real one, and despite all that stuff I really wanted it to be penny. Those two should find each other before the season is over.

Also, anybody thinks that with all the sex kate is having she'll end up pregnant like sun? :lol

Yeah I know, women don't get pregnant on the island and sun is probably an exception, wonder why, but still it'd be funny... though she'll cease to be as hot once her belly starts expanding, hah. :p

You've got it wrong. Women can get pregnant, they just seem to die before reaching full term.

So did I, but I knew it was way too big of a Megaton for it to happen. Thats LOST for you.

There's an animated gif of Kate over at the Something Awful forums: Click

I'm very much against stealing someone's work so you'll have to fap over there

No, I don't think it was in the official PR. It was in spoilers forever, though, ever since we knew its name. I think it might just have been assumed from the title though.

Good episode, good character development for Desmond, and the plot moves forward. Not as fantastic as Desmond's last flashback, but it wasn't offensive at all, which is pretty good for Lost these days! :D

Desmond saw this in his vision:
lost.jpg

It's right after where you see them finding the pilot hanging from the tree, so you can understand why he thought he'd find Penny.

Good episode btw. I thought right at the beginning of the episode "I'll bet they'll start with a fake Charlie-death", but I was somehow still shocked by it. The end was kinda predictable though.

Is it just me or did they skip the wire tugging scene in Desmond's vision? I don't recall seeing the "live" version of that.

any episode where evangeline lily is having sex is a good episode...

and anyone who thinks that chubby blond girl is hot is on crack. juliet is much better looking than her and as is jin. kate gets first place though, godess.

Nope, Hurley and Jin pull it.

So they tug on it, but we still don't know what it is. I guess the wire was just there as a reference point in Desmond's vision?

It's the wire that leads to the sonar device that the eye-patch guy told Sayid and Kate about. The producers said everything he said was true except for being part of Dharma.

Solid but not spectacular episode last night. Lots of cool details including why Desmond says "brother" so much, funny football references, and the picture on Brother Campbell's desk.

It's disappointing that they keep on letting Charlie off the hook ever since Ethan strung him up in S1. Now it's just getting silly. Bad hobbitses.

What football references? I must have missed though, to be honest I wasn't paying too much attention. I don't like to think much :)

All of the Celtic references to the Scottish Cup, singing the song, etc...

Next week may be a good
Jin/Sun
episode, at last.

I'm much more excited for episode 19 though.
That's when we see Locke again, right?

Oh, right... forgot about that.

Yep. And I can't wait either. :)

Why would I have to spoiler tag it? It's not spoiling anything, its not like that would be announced or anything, its just the feeling I get based on all of the events of Season 2 and 3 so far. It just seems to be the direction they are heading.

And we know that the finale is a
Jack-centric
2 hour ep, which would make it his 8-9 total
flashbacks
. I thought this was a well talked about internet rumor anywho.

I was under the impression that spoilers and speculation were supposed to be tagged. Given the wealth of information online at the moment regarding the end of this season, it's tough to stay spoiler free these days. The problem with speculation is that it's oftentimes linked to spoilers - "I would guess that such-and-such happens later because this spoiler might lead to it." It all sort of bleeds together when you start extrapolating. I'd prefer if speculation like this is tagged, but I obviously can't speak for everyone.
