LTTP: Infinite Undiscovery is Infinitely Underappreciated

I loved this game. The start of it was pretty cool with each area having something going on,like that dragon shooting at you. And you could get bonus things for doing certain stuff like "don't get hit by the dragon!" and so on

I agree, I just wish there were more.

There are things about the game that I like, but ultimately the "situations" as tri-Ace calls them overwhelm the experience with their awfulness. From the desert escort to the boulder dodging at Vesplume Tower, I can't.

It's a very unequal game.
On the one hand, the music is phenomenal, there's an actually good twist, Capel's dumb music pieces are kind of funny and there's a good, if perfectible, battle system.
On the other hand, some moments and designs are awkwardish, some battle situations are annoying, and it kind of looks like an upscaled PS2 game.

Overall, I think it's underrated, but I don't believe it's an essential game.

what's wrong with them? I don't recall having any issues with them.

This and Lost Odyssey need to have re-releases or HD remasters or something. Would definitely buy it on the PC. These are two games that shouldn't be forever left on an older platform.

I played the game years ago and enjoyed it more than I thought I would. While I was playing it I was scratching my head though to some of the odd choices that the developers made.

There is audio for only some of the dialogue even though the game is on two DVD's.

You can't pause a game. The game is single player, so why would they hinder you from pausing.

The item creation will fail and you will lose your components...BUT you can save and load at any time, so whats the point? If you fail you just reload.

After I played the game I did a search online and found information that originally they had planned that you could play the game different ways. "break down the door, or wait until night and sneak in" All of that must have been scrapped long before release though.

oh god that desert escort situation. I can't remember if I called it quits before or after that, but only that it was terrible.

I also ran into some awkward bug early in the game, where i couldn't get some item or something. it was late enough that i didn't want to reply it :\

They're just not fun, and there's sooo many of them in the game.

Not really... for instance, that Vesplume Tower boulder thing you mentioned literally lasts about 30 seconds. All you need to do is stand in the corner where the boulders aren't falling. Viola.

IIRC you have to do it twice. But the point wasn't that any individual one was unbearable, it's that they are literally all over the place in the game and are never fun.

I bought this cheap, it just got chucked on the pile then the 360 RROD'd (and so did the replacement) so I never played it which I kind of regret since I liked a lot of the other lower-tier 360 J-RPGs.

There's boulder dodging in the Oradian Mountains as well but that's about it.

I dunno, I personally thought they made the game more exciting/interesting. I'm glad they were included. You're not just doing the same thing over and over again the entire game.
