I bought the game a little after launch. I didn't get a chance to play it until the other day when I was over at a friends house and they had the Komplete Edition. I really liked it and was energized to play my copy when I got back.

I beat the story mode, and while liking it, it was pretty hammy at times lol. I didn't understand

with all the blatant cheating why Shao Khan was allowed to continue fucking with Earth Realm

. I guess they explained that later in a terrible way

Unfortunately I don't have the Komplete and don't know whether at this point I want to spend the $15-20 for the DLC. I also didn't realize that all of the fatilities had to be unlocked, I probably shouldn't have wasted all of those points in the krypt randomly

Ya, raiden is a pretty big fuck up through out the game, series even. At every turn he fails, its kinda sad.

Kenshi and Rain are pretty great for DLC characters, I like skarlet myself but shes kinda weird to play as so I don't recommend her. Freddy is lame.
I wouldn't really buy any of them unless you have IRL friends to play with though.

One of my favorite games of this gen. Story mode was phenomenal, and kinda like a proper sequel to the original MK movie.

I love this game so much that I'm also getting it for Vita.

Yep, you don't have to actually unlock the fatalities from the krypt. Look up the inputs for it online, perform it once, and it will show up in your fatality list for future reference.
