LTTP: Persona 3...I said wow.

Just fused Mara...WTF? Who the hell came up with that crazy design? It creeps me out...

Incubus is my current favorite Persona besides Samael (whos my highest lvl at 37 or 38).
They always seem to get the job done. Plus I have Growth 1 on Incubus.

Yeah, Incubus has been great so far. I just hit 41, need some new Persona's. I feel like I should have some -dyne spells by now.

Wait you just hit 41 on floor 100 something?
Im only up to floor 89 or so and im 38 lol.
I REALLY enjoy grinding apparently.

Oh and HOLY SHIT I just got hit with death for the second time - run into him, Escape, try to get to the stairs to run and he's directly in front of of them. So I rush him while planning to escape again, he wont let me, HE ONE SHOTS MY ENTIRE TEAM (all at level 32) and somehow misses me. Then does some light spell that grazes me. Then he lets me run. I use my revival beads and gtfo.
I was so scared. x_x

Yeah, floor 122 boss was the last one I did. Grinding sucks but I think I do enough to get by. Nothing is really all that hard. I go from one boss floor to the next without exploring much of the floors, beat the boss, and then go back through and thoroughly sweep each floor.

Death scares the shit out of me. I've only encountered him once on this playthrough, it was heartbreaking. I forgot that he was even a thing in this game, got up to get some food without pausing the game, come back 5 minutes later and I'm in a battle with him. Entire party is dead except me and I get killed next turn. Lost two hours of grinding :(

Yeah you dont need to grind but I enjoy knowing when I get to parts I will by shear power alone DESTROY any boss. It's worked out that way so far except for Death >.<

Yeah Death is a dick. The only other time I saw him was when I left my Vita sitting down after I set everybody to split up and fight and come back and death has wiped out 2 of my team and is working on the next. I rush over save the other. Revive the other 2 and gtfo. This asshole chased me all the way to the stairs.

Having just watched the first half of the P4:Animation, I really wish there was one for Persona 3. I remember enjoying P3, but I don't remember a lot of details, and I don't really have the time to sit and play through the entire game on the PSP again.

Pretty stoked for the movie.

If it's actually coming out, there haven't been any updates since it was announced. That wasn't too long ago though.

They're making a Persona 3 movie, but no idea when that will be out.

Edit: Aaaaand beaten.

That sounds cool, but I feel like the P4 anime is already rushed at times, so I can't imagine how abridged a movie will be.

edit: if it doesn't come out, I wonder if that means the P4 anime wasn't successful for them.

Whenever I run into death, I split the party up and flee while he kills whatever unlucky soul enters single battle with him. I feel so guilty.

Incubus is pretty questionable as well.

At least he has the decency to wear a sheath. Mara is just Penis with tentacles riding a pimped out chariot of doom.

I'm at rank 7 right now, feel like I should just max it. I want to be fucking done with it already so I can get Yukari's slink up more.

The final Justice Person is pretty awesome in my opinion and well worth maxing her link.

Helped me a lot, too.

just finished the game. Great fun, and I really enjoyed the final fight.

For the physical embodiment of death, Ryoji has a pretty positive outlook on life.

Also, anyone have a link for a good youtube version of the answer?

Sleeping Table....fuck man, I hate that guy. Don't bring Mitsuru and bring someone who's strong against fire. But then he's going to blast you with a Megidola if you do that. Bring Akihiko for debuffs and Junpei since he's strong against fire and can still deal damage. I guess you can bring Yukari or Ken for healing. Or you could be the healer if you have someone with mediarama.

Also, anyone have a link for a good youtube version of the answer?

Edit: Actually, you could just look at his playlist. I left out the non-story bosses, but there's some stuff before the boss fights you might want to see (definitely watch the end of the ??? boss).

It uses Hamaon too which seems to hit more often that it misses. Mitsuru does good damage but, yeah, she dies real easy. I think I'll grind up to 50 then try it again.

Also is Shinjiro useless or something? No one ever seems to bring him up with party member stuff. Guess it wouldn't do any good to level him up though....

I thought Shinjiro was useful for the first end of the month boss he's available for, but I don't recommend leveling him.

Oh right, then yeah you should probably bring Ken with you since he nulls light. Probably bring some justice persona to null hamoan or make sure you have some homunculus.

I hear he's alright as a physical attacker. But it's understandable why no one brings him up.

I had a good number of magic mirrors on hand for that fight. I think that was the only time I used then in the whole game. At least I think that was the fight I used them for.

So I just started this game and it's my first Persona game. How important is it to get every class question right? I just got back to school after the first fight and got a question wrong. Any other big things I should know about?

I'm playing on Easy as I just want to get a taste for the series. I hope it catches my interest as I'll be traveling 2 weeks for work and have a lot of time to play it.

The questions are definitely important while you're raising Charm. I'm not sure if they play any part in how well you do on tests or if that's purely Academics/answering the questions correctly.

Do your best to get them right, but getting some of them wrong isn't really going to affect your game. It would only really matter if you were trying to master every S-Link, which isn't going to happen on your first game unless you let a guide make every decision for you.

135th floor boss defeated! Was super lucky in that battle and a few brilliant magic mirrors put a nail in it! Hamaon never hit, didn't cast Megadolan once, and the magic mirrors reflected Maragidyne every time it was cast.

Yeah you will still max out everything you really want to max out. You will just miss out on a few things which you don't prioritise. So just relax and go with it during your first play through.

Being the old-school SMT fan, I decided to give this another shot after several attempts at it since I picked it up at launch.

Now I understand why i never made it further than 10hours; my completionist OCD held me back from really enjoying it. This game laughs at me knowing that I never get to fully explore all those social links.

Actually, it is possible to max out all the S-links in a single playthrough.

Persona 3 is one of my favorite games of all time, but I could never afford to pick up The Answer.

:/

This means I can't talk about the game with my friends online or offline about it, at least until I can find a cheap copy or borrow it from a buddy.

Unless you really love dungeon crawling and difficult boss fights, I honestly don't recommend playing The Answer.

If you just want the plot bits, you can check out this playlist to get the story without having to suffer through the rest of The Answer.

I still want to try it...I'll look in the bargain bin, but I don't think I'll have a lot of luck there. Maybe I can find someone on neogaf who will trade.

Currently in january, finishing up my S-Links and grinding at night. At lvl 76, would have made 78 actually, but I got jumped from behind by a group of beetles and 6 Akasha Arts later I was dead, I was not amused. Still, I've enjoyed this playthrough a whole lot, I bead FES years back, and playing through P3P with the FeMC is pretty cool. I think the port itself is great, though I do have a few issues.

1. The romances, well suck. Actually the Moon and Fortune S. Links weren't bad. Justice, though, why in the name of God would one allow a 17 year old to initiate a relationship with a 10 year old? That whole thing was WRONG, even having the option squicked me out. That and Akihiro is even more boring as FemC thanhe was before.

2. Th e FeMC music is just not as good as the MCs, I really miss the battle music especially.

3. No Anime, I know WHY this happened, but it still is quite a shame.

4. Lack of Yuri. I think that is self explanitory. = )

5. Too much joke clothing/weapons. Great, the best naginata I can find is a hocky stick, and the girls are all running around in Maid outfits. I'm glad that P4G will give a lot more customizability when it comes to this stuff.

Other than that it has been a cool new way to play through the game. I still think the MC route works better, and Elizabeth is a lot cooler than Theo, but I can't say I haven't enjoyed this run through.

That and the Junpei/FeMC bromance is epic.
