LTTP- Sleeping Dogs: This Bark is strong

Prologue

Awesome ride and interesting story. Came in knowing very little of anything.

Started caring more about the characters than I expected. I felt as torn as the main character, especially when your "friends" start looking up to you, and uncle po speaking highly of you.

Great gunplay, wish there was a gun store though. Wasn't expecting the fighting to be so in depth and fluid. Is that how the batman games are? Great music too and lovely sound quality. Nice variety in missions and fun ones too! and even some set pieces here and there.

Off to the DLC!

Probably the best "GTA-clone" I've played in recent memory. Really loved the world they built and it didn't feel dead unlike most of these types of games besides GTA.

Really hope they get the chance at a proper sequel.

Amazing game. Actually have the Wei Shen chest tattoo myself (not because I liked the game THAT much because I thought it's damn cool).

Enjoy the DLC OP. The "Enter the Dragon" alike tournament is probably the best part of the game. So damn funny.

One of my favourite games. It appealed to me more than the GTA games cause it tries a bit too hard at being a satire of American life, Sleeping Dogs just aims for gameplay. Story doesn't overstay its welcome either.

It is a crime that this game didn't get a sequel even more criminal is the fact that they tried to make an MMO out of it. Now that Triad Wars is cancelled, I hope United Front is hard at work with a sequel.

Ninja Tune Radio is the best thing ever. And yeah, he'll of a ride. It was also the first GTA type game that I'd just drive around taking in the sights.

If you like the fighting here, you'd probably love the Arkham games. Nothing besides Mordor has really come close to capturing the fluidity and animation variety of the Freeflow combat

I picked this up for PS4 last year and had put it down. I keep getting my ass kicked in that game, so I just said fuck it.

It was my GOTY. I wish for a real sequel, but I doubt it will ever happen. I'm glad they made the new gen port so I had another excuse to 100% the game again.

Poor guy thinks the dlc will be good...

Game is decent dlc is bad to shit. The purple zombie one is shit, just not fun at all and no good missions. Barely has missions but gives you the most annoying fights I could imagine.. Stick to doing more in the main game. It's really really not worth playing. Year of the snake is just a bit better but not good at all. There are no missions designed as actual missions like the house and wedding in the main game. It's pretty sad honestly and being a cop more so in it doesn't really help

Really terrible dlc

Although, I've heard that this isn't likely...any truth to that?

Wut? The DLC where you travel to the island doing the tournament is amazing.

Got this on PS+ and got the XB1 copy recently, finally got a real physical copy of the game and it feels good.

Meanwhile waiting on that Xbox One S.....

Also my GOTY 2012 (?). Prefered it to any GTA game, since I really like that condensed feel of Hong Kong, those car rides in GTA are just to damn long and pull me out of the experience.

It's the only game I have a platinum trophy for.

Hopefully there will be a sequel one day as the development team created some really likeable characters and a city with amazing atmosphere.

I was born in Hong Kong and lived here my whole life. I was really, really worried about how they'd portray my city.

You know what? I loved Sleeping Dogs. It's great. It feels right. I know a lot of people here were nitpicking things, but it got the overall feel right -- tightly packed, crowded, plenty of life... such an awesome experience.

Pretty much, yeah. I can never get into GTA because of how wannabe douchebro-ey it all feels, haven't been able to complete a single GTA game because of that. On the other hand, I quite enjoyed Sleeping Dogs. I do hope that United Front will get the chance to create a proper sequel.

FUCKING DOG EYES

Such a great game, was amazing to play this game when I first got my high end PC. This game needs a sequel

And I agree op I was really torn as the character, when even I wanted to just betray the cops be stick with gang.

Used it as a benchmark when I built my current PC but I soon realized it was actually a great game. Driving and combat felt good and they nailed the atmosphere (I've never been to Hong Kong, mind you).
Up until the release of GTA V, I thought Sleeping Dogs was superior to all the numbered GTA games. Definitely needs a sequel.

Couldn't get into this game at all. I think I played about 8 hours and dropped. Can't put my finger on why I didn't enjoy my time. There's nothing particularly wrong with the game, but there weren't any hooks to grab me. Everything about the felt serviceable only. The controls, driving, the fighting mechanics, the missions, the story... nothing stands out.

Great game, hoping we get a sequel.

It was a cohesive package and I liked almost every part of it, yes even the shooting which took a while to get down.

The only part I found lacking was the relationship stuff, it seems to just tail off into nothing.

Awesome game where the missions are very fun. I had already finished it on 360 but never played the DLC. So I recently bought it during the sale. The only not so good thing is the driving. I wish they made a sequel. Why hasn't that happened yet?

It was one of the best games I played in 2014. The ending sucked/didn't really exist, but that's my only complaint.
