LTTP: Stargate Franchise - Indeed

IIRC some of the Asgard ships were decent. Not early on, though. I think it was the DJ class that looked boss.

The JoN class looks decent, I think the DJ class only looks good from the specific angle shown, all other models I've seen of it look pretty meh.

You know what I don't get about that episode? If Daniel
was out of phase how come he didn't fall through the floor?

Been a while since I watched it, but
it was only moving things that he went through, right? Things that were stationary to his frame of reference were still in his phase too. So he was walking across a different floor to everyone, that was in the same place. Could he walk through walls? If he could that blows that theory out of the water. Of course, if you include the motion of the earth, then it gets squirelly. Out of phase with time would mean he was on an erath that was not where the foor was for everyone else, out of fphase some other way... I don't know.

Fake edit: Shit, I'm pretty sure he walked through walls. So yeah, way busted.
Fun though.

I also enjoy Foothold tbh, which he just watched (going by episode order), but didn't specifically mention.

I had to look it up, yeah, it was okay. I didn't like the solution Carter came up with, thought it was a bit weak. I like the rest of it though.

This. Crystal Skull is my favourite episode in that season.

Yeah, it is fun, for sure.

Fucking loved Urgo. As far as the comedy episodes go this was my second favourite behind the groundhog day episode. Also The Other Guys was awesome.

Yup.

You might want to spoiler tag that for forester.

Yeah, it always bugs me a bit with this type of plot, but I shrug it off as any answer would probably just be technobabble. I think the only show I've ever seen address it properly in an "out of phase" episode is Batman Beyond.

Now I'm curious. How was addressed in that?

Now that was one fucked up way to die. Probably the only thing I remember from that show.

Defiant is definitely one of my favorite, if not outright favorite ship designs from Star Trek. At least from the Federation certainly.

Have to agree that I'm not a particular fan of the saucer section ships. Kind of ugly a lot of the time, and not that practical.

Stargate ships (non-Goa'uld ones) get better over time. I like the Puddle Jumpers from Atlantis.

I think you mean Gateship, motherfucker.

Hope you like the Defiant!

Best ship in Star Trek loved the Defiant, always used to mod it so it was ridiculously overpowered when i used it in SFC3 (cant remember if it was an original ship in the game or if it was added as a mod).

Foothold
Middle of the road on this one. A lot of set up and not enough payoff for the first episode. Imagine this episode will look better when the aliens show up again and more is answered.

What order are you watching the episodes in? Foothold should be before Pretense, no?

A Hundred Days
Really liked this one, but I wish they had just done nothing with the earth side story, and just explained how at the end. Kind of like with Inner Light on TNG, the "Rescue" stuff just got in the way.

Lets see what the title of the next episode is.

Shades of Grey

Shades of grey bro. Ends and means.

Yeah, that could have been good.

This is a strange episode. I hope there's more to Jack's behavior by the end than just missing out on a command. I was figuring this had something to do with the events in the last episode. No build up at all to this. I hate to say it, but it reminds me of Voyager when Tom started being an ass, and they did a better job building up to that then this has. Though, Tom was just faking to infiltrate the Kazon and learn about Seska.

edit:

Mayborune shows up.

Ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Yeah... Voyager did a better job with the whole undercover to get the mole thing. They set up Tom over the course of several episodes to lead to the payoff. This should have done the same. Have Jack get a bit more angry over the course of a few episodes to make it believable. This was a good story, but way to much for a single episode.

See that SG-1, you made me credit Voyager! EARLY VOYAGER.

I need a shower...

McGyver is great when he's sort of a special agent on the field, getting out of tight spots with his ingenuity. Not so much when he's just helping around teenagers and old friends.
