Ergo Proxy - "Kiri" by Monoral. Holy fucking shit, so good it made me get the full album.
Hokuto No Ken - "Ai Wo Torimodoze!!" AKA "You Wa Shock!".
Saint Seiya - "Soldier Dream" by Hironobu Kageyama. Better than his DBZ songs IMO.
Yu Yu Hakusho - "Hohoemi No Bakudan"
Naruto - "Rocks"
Trigun - Don't remember the name, instrumental with badass guitars.
Rurouni Kenshin - "1/2" (Shishio arc)
Jigoku Sensei Nube - "Baribari Saikyo No.1" Metal with catchy girl voice, awesome.

ED:
Rurouni Kenshin - "4th Avenue Cafe" by L'arc en Ciel. One of their best songs, period.
Fullmetal Alchemist - "Kasenai Tsumi"
Dragon Ball Z - "We were angels" what can i say?, part of my childhood.
Bubblegum Crisis 2040 (Remake) - "Waiting for You"
Death Note - "Zetzubou Billy" by Maximum the Hormone

Came to post this. My favorite so far. I also like the first OP, the second season OP, and the first three EDs. Really dislike 00's final OP.

GITS SAC 2nd Gig's OP also, and Naruto's "fighting dreamers" opening (don't follow it too much, just like the music), similar to Bleach's second OP and its music in general. Made me a fan of Uverworld.

Who could forget Death Note's first and second openings? I like the first more, but I like the second ending better than both of them.

Inuyasha's ED "Come" really got me. Love it. Hellsing (the anime)'s OP was awesome. So messed up. :lol

Most of what I love has already been posted.

Gurren-Lagann's OP and second ED. FLCL's ending. Neon Genesis Evangelion OP. See-Saw's .hack Obsession OP, and even its ED, are awesome to this day, was really let down by Roots.

I like most of the English ones better, except for Orange Islands and D/P. *flame shield* Master Quest and Johto Champions, specifically, although DP Battle Frontier has really grown on me. For the most part really catchy.

But there is at least one of the Japanese OP's I like (haven't seen them all yet), the Battle Frontier one that was all GAN GAN ARE YOU OK?!

So catchy. Was humming it just today too.

I actually got all of the albums by Nirgilis that I could find sometime after hearing their awesome awesome OP to Eureka Seven. They are pretty enjoyable albums, worth hunting down if you enjoy that Birdy OP

It can be either really. There are quite a few that I enjoy more for the melody than the lyrics themselves (but the vocals are good enough to keep up with the quality of the rest of the song), but then there are some in which I genuinely enjoy the vocals.
