\m/ Favorite metal songs in games

Almost the entire soundtrack of Brutal Legend, both the original soundtrack, and all of the licensed soundtrack too. Absolutely astounding work on both fronts.

.

Can i say Warrior Within? Although it's a soundtrack composed for the game , i think we could count it in ?

It featured 2 great tracks from Godsmack but original music was godly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1potMUPsJI#t=3105

I can't believe that this was Ubisoft
LOL

I really liked warrior within's soundtrack too. I actually liked the game a lot too even though it is highly divisive.

I know this is more like industrial rock than metal but I fucking love Gran Turismo 1 soundtrack and 'Cubanate - Industry' is my favourite track from it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQ8ug91-loQ&list=PL5411AA125780D400&index=11
It's either that or Fulgore's theme in the new Killer Instinct.

Some of the oldest metal game music.

The Ocean Loader 4(1988)

if you can't hear its "metal-ness" because of the chiptunes then listen to this faithful cover:

(it's also my ringtone lol)

Same situation here, Last Ninja 2: Central Park ost(again 1988), but here the "metal-ness" is clearly recognizable i think

if chiptunes give you problem again then here another cover

The entire collection of Hulsbeck works, just a recent example from Giana Sister Twisted Dreams(the track is just a modern version of one of the c64 Giana Sister songs 1987)

If someone's looking for a game with licenced metal songs, Army Corps of Hell on Vita is a great choice. A very nice soundtrack filled with Japanese bands, and it's not the obvious choices but some lesser-known stuff. Personally I liked the game as well, it's fun - repetitive sure, but still fun.
