Really?

I thought we got over the middle finger like 12 years ago.

Crazy where our society has gone that apparently now we feel it's OK to just laugh off this kind of stuff. Makes you wonder....

We still have a way to go if we care about this stuff over, oh, the numerous economic, social, and political injustices in the US.

Hey, remember the Occupy Wall Street movement? No, we're busy caring about part of someone's hand.

What? It's a bit late here so I may be reading this incorrectly.

Just saying it's weird to me how now someone can flick someone off in prime time and we as a society think that's ok. What is it really teaching our kids to see that and to see that we don't care about it? I don't know for certain, but it can't be good. And it's definitely another example of how society as a whole has declined.

I'm flipping off my screen as I type this...

LO fucking L @ society in decline, go read some history books. Just because we have these magical devices called cameras capturing every moment, doesn't mean suddenly the world is any worse than it's been in the past.

Why worry about a random gesture, and not get all riled up about the pussy poppin goin on all over that stage at the same time?

The middle finger is just a symbol. It used to mean something but now it doesn't, so what?

After hours of a pretty violent sport and advertisements for alcohol, some gesture that's becoming about as meaningful as sticking your tongue out at someone is the least "offensive" thing you should worry about.

Your opinion is inconceivably naive and wholly disconnected from reality.

No seriously I still don't know who MIA is, but this was a smart promotional move on whoever she is.

Controversy makes cash.

I never really thought much of Stone Cold giving the finger itself, but the ferorcity he used to deliver the finger back in the Attitude Era. You could tell that he really fucking meant to offend with that middle finger

Madonna must be annoyed at how this is detracting from her surprisingly good performance.

That said maybe it will let her sell more of her new single....

The .gif shows half a dozen women throwing their crotches into the air, and people are annoyed about a finger?

Seriously.
The half naked girls are fine.....a middle finger for a split second...The end of the world.

Come on NBC just come on.

It's pretty adorable that people can still get AstroLaded in 2012.

That logo says WWF. Nope.

Hint: When he is on air these days, they cut his middle fingers off... PG WWE and all.

That is true that they tend to cut his finger off but that doesn't change the fact that he does show it and they sometimes show it.

That image was just a google search. Video shows otherwise. Here's one with WWE logo, from HHH: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AFGy1UaIr4&feature

"They changed the name to WWE before the PG era."

Ahh gotcha. Haven't been following WWE lately except for hyped-up main events so I thought you meant this decade and not another era. PG era sounds horrible.

This never would have happened if they did the right thing and just replayed Prince's halftime show instead of doing another one.

I didnt either and still don't. I think we're probably better off that way. Youre right about the smart move.

Couple of videos have already been posted in this thread, they aren't good. But, yeah. I'm sure this was done in the hope of publicity, 'cause like I said a few posts ago, whlie she has had a few CD's released, none have sold worth a damn. If this "controversy" catches, she will easily sell more CD's in the next week or two then she ever has before. Coincidentally, she also has a new CD out this year according to her wikipedia.
