Mafia III Free Outfit DLC and New Patch Available Today.

Playing on Xbox seems more solid for sure. Not a huge leap but it's better. Weird weather / skybox thing has been fixed as far as I can tell.

Nice. I was very interested in this but impressions painted a pretty bad picture.

I rarely play this kind of game so I doubt it'll feel repetitive to me, also.

I bought at launch, played about 15 hours, and traded it in. Unfortunately after the 6 hour mark the game gets insanely repetitive. I've sunk 300+ hours into Destiny, played Wow for years, have played every Assassin's Creed (and loved em) and Far Cry, and this game felt way more repetitive than any of it.

Its worth a spin because the story starts off REALLY good but man it really just falls off a cliff in gameplay at the 10-15 hour mark.

cant find the outfits on the X1 store

not DLC

it's in the game itself

OUTFITS

This was a big request from you – our fans – so we made sure to get free Outfits to everyone that owns Mafia III, ASAP. So, suit up! With this update, you will now have 11 outfits to choose from: six outfits that Lincoln wears throughout different points in Mafia III’s story, and five all-new outfits. If you want to stalk the streets of New Bordeaux in military gear, you can. Want to get decked out like a proper Mob Don – no problem. Or maybe you just need a sweet racing jacket for when you tear through town in the Samson Drifter. Choose the best look for you!

As soon as you hit the “Somethin' I've Got To Do” mission, these outfits are available for you to pick your new look. Just head to your safehouse – or any racket hideout you’ve taken over – and head to the wardrobe. Ready for some killer style?

you'll see a wardrobe with a clothes hanger symbol to change clothes

Have they patched the AI yet? Meaning, making it harder? Or is it still the same? Thanks.

Too bad the outfits do not show in cutscenes. Breaks the immersion

Seriously? What a half-assed job.

This would be impossible as the cutscenes in the game are movie files. They would have to recorded 11 separate sets of videos for each cutscene to account for the outfits. That would be massive GBs of extra content.

This is the same reason the game can sometimes jump from night to day when you move from gameplay to cutscene.

I'll definitely grab this at some point. Nice touch on the extra outfits, I love stuff like that.

I don't know if its just because I haven't played the game in two weeks, but I installed the patch and something feels...wrong, somehow.

It's like everything is more sluggish now.

They're pre-rendered cut scenes.

I understand the challenge of doing so when your scenes are pre-rendered, I just wasn't aware that the cutscenes weren't realtime. Half-assed seems the wrong term. Poorly executed considering it's a step down from that of Mafia 2.

How does game development work

Relax, chuckles. I wasn't aware of the pre-rendered nature of the cutscenes.

Says the poster whose first reaction is to call the developer's efforts "half-assed". Well, you're aware now, which is progress.

Because it's a step down from the previous iteration, yeah. Perhaps if you weren't so focused on blindly defending this developer for some weird reason, you may realize it's not such a crazy conclusion to come to.

Yeah I'm getting that too but only in certain areas. Cars seem fine, but when Lincoln takes cover now it seems slower, and getting out of cover feels sluggish.
