The very first thing I was focusing on is her face (surprisingly). Capcom's been good with faces in SF6, but Terry was... a bit off, and I was afraid they'd do the same to the other KOF guest character. Mai definitely looks much better. I can see Capcom went the route of 'conventionally beautiful'. No arguments from me for the eye candy. We'll see how she shakes out in-game (hyukhyukhyuk)

We will never know the exact age, because SNK themselves got confused in their setting and from some point they simply stopped even writing the age of the fighters. Well, with one exception, Terry, he ages steadily in every game regardless of the setting, so it's better to measure by him =)))
And based on this logic, Terry can't age every game and Mai can't stick around at 20 years old =)

Nah those ages are for Fatal Fury, there's only two ages for KOF and those are for 94 and 95, the fatal fury ages aren't relevant for KOF.

They absolutely did not hit the mark, neither in the image nor in the face, it's just a cosplayer in Mai's costume. Although after what they did to Terry it's not surprising...
SNK gave them one of the most iconic and sexy character in KOF, it would seem that it was impossible to miss, but no, it turns out you can =)))

To be fair, she'd look a lot more similar without the hime cut bangs. I have no idea why they made her look like a Canadian actor on Nickelodeon from the 90s
