On a side note, what does "Jump the shark" mean?

Now it basically refers to a publicity stunt/gimmick that a TV show or (someone famous) does to get attention because their material can't cut it anymore to get ratings/attention.


It was named after a incident on Happy Days when ratings got so bad that they decided to have Fonzie jump a shark on a waterski to try to pull in viewers. So now when a dieing TV show tries to do some last ditch gimmick to try to get ratings they call it "Jumping the Shark".


I don't really think it applies to Nelson though. His blog is pretty big from the actual content he provides as opposed to publicity stunts for hits.
