Making new friends in your late 20s

Met lots of new people through sports recreation centers, Rio, concerts at the Filmore, groups of people hanging out around downtown silver spring as well as places in DC such as at the harbor and around the Verizon center. People there are a lot friendlier and seem open to meeting new people with similar interests from my experience.


Maryland is dope, you should move there.
 
OP, do you have any co-workers your age? If not...

well...

there are still options! Find groups that are into what you're into. Do you like playing any sports? Have any hobbies? Are you an engineer? There's a local group or society for that. Like any specific kinds of music? There's probably a lounge for that.

And if you're into it, there's always ALWAYS church. They always have social groups and are always welcoming of new people. Men especially since there are generally so few.

Give it a look and sit in on a local meeting. It'll be worth and they can help you with the social piece.
