for some reason when you pose it like this it almost seems like he picked three of the most futile things one can possibly do and combined them. if he'd gone outside and used a leafblower right before he shot himself, he'd have had quite a quartet.
:lol

The air might have done him some good.

considering the level of crazy, im going all in on agnostic.

Which of the things that he said were particularly crazy to you? I'd like to know.

And thanks for bashing an entire group, had you said that about Jews, Christians, Muslims etc. you'd have been banned already.

He thinks too much, must have been worked too hard and now struggles to see past his own two feet poor guy, he needs to chill
He was rationalizing his own despair. Toward the end of the note he details the emotional problems he developed in early life. It seems he found himself in the teeth of nihilism and chose to embrace it rather than seek help. If there's anything to learn from his situation, it's that isolation can be very bad for your mental health.

On further thought, the guy does have one rather large flaw with his plan; the kind of crowd and attention that this book will draw is the nerdy intellectual crowd, who will read it disseminate it and if its anything less that a masterpiece will be ruled out and ignored once the 15 minutes are up. It means that he'll be less infamous in death than planned.

Don't expect any suicide cults really.

downloading the PDF and transferring it to my kindle. I'm taking a psychology class right now that touches on these subjects. Will be an interesting read.

Oh god, I'm starting to see some of him in myself...

feel free to skip around to the end, specifically the sections on biology.
If the Western experiment in liberal democracy is measured by the standards of evolutionary biology, a long-term trend of genetic maladaptation is observable as descendants of European ancestry are biologically out-produced by descendants of non-European ancestry.

Why so rectally riled?

People who self identify as agnostics in lieu of their actual theological position are certifiably crazy. usually with an ego to match.

But then what excuse would Shanadeus use for talking out of his arse?

First off, nothing you quoted is "crazy"... it's pretty much sociological fact with a general racial shift happening because non-Europeans are having babies WAY more quickly than whitey. Plot that along a poverty line graph, as well, and see how off-base that guy really is.

Second off, if you actually knew what agnosticism was, then you wouldn't sound like some douchey teenager. You can't say "agnostic in lieu of their actual theological position" as if agnosticism isn't a theological position. Agnosticism is as much a position to take as any other religious or philosophical position one could take on the metaphysical, and just because you're too ill-read to actually understand that doesn't make the group of people identifying with it any less legitimate.

In other words... go read a book on agnosticism and come back.

You aren't depressed if you can write a 1900+ page tome. At the very least, it isn't the typical suicidal despair--just a profound sense of pointlessness in all things.

How long have you been on gaf? Calling religious beliefs names is part for the course.

Actually, the "suicide note" tag to the whole thing will color the affair in the view of many people. It's probably a lot closer to the truth that this is actually a massive collection of dissertations the guy was writing in preparation for graduation and assembling books, and formal papers. And he decided not to waste them in a drawer before he went; the "this is my suicide note" part is basically black humor.

The link in the OP isn't working for me and I'd very much like to read this. Is it available elsewhere?
That's strange because it's still up for me.

This is the only way that it makes sense.

It's really strange because it's working for me now, I've tried it 4 times today and every other time the site was down.

Oh well, got it now, I'll give it a read through after dinner.

well he probably hurt his family members

But on the other hand, his portion of the trust fund will probably now pad theirs back up a bit, so you gotta take the bad with the good.
