Man dies after 3-day gaming binge

There's a lot of debate about how this guy died. I think someone needs to call up Mythbusters.
That'll be a great episode. Watch them play WoW for 3 days and wait for them to crack.

So the guy was playing Crisis Core for 3 days straight, beat it twice and then died after seeing that ultra cocktease FFVIIr trailer?

Damn you, Square.

Shouldn't the management of the cafe tell him to go home after seeing him playing 24 hours straight?
why? the workers there dont have 24 hour shifts or? ^^

I really like this show. But it seems that they canceld the show here in germany....

This article seems really familar. I swear I've read something like it before expect they quoted the guy saying,"Just one more..".

When they come back for their next shift and the same guy is there in the same clothes . . .

BTW, I like how the article says that everyone else scattered. Where they afraid of being a witness? Or were they afraid they might die? Did they think it may be contagious?

I feel so bad but I laughed at that one. I feel sorry for him, he died, that is always a shame. But as people stated before, he must of had bad health to begin with. Both mentally and physically. Addiction might be the cause, or he he just had a shitty life to start with. I remember playin WoW for two days stright, that was after I lost my job, and a close friend to a car accident so meh.

Have any of you noticed that stories such as these only seem to emanate from Communist countries. I really wonder if people are actually dieing or there is some mis-information going on here...I could swear that the last story to come out of this nature was also from China.

I didn't feel sorry for the guy. He obviously wasn't contributing anything to society.

Sorry for my lack of MMORPG knowledge by why is it gil farmer? I've heard of gold farmer. Is the currency in Wow the Gilder?

Gil's the currency in FFXI, its what I used to play so that's what I relate to. Gil farmers ruined the game.

Well you know that the last thing people do after they die is poo themselves...
If you search through the poo you just may get gold
en kernels of corn.

Your mom probably doesn't contribute much to society. No one should feel sorry when she passes?

Hey guys I just remembered that China passed some laws not too long ago prohibiting cafes from being open 24/7. Dunno how this could happen then. Heads are going to roll for this, literally in China.

I stayed up for five days straight during an anime convention, and while I was tired as hell, I never felt myself get near death. I hardly ate or drunk anything, also. Either this guy had contributing health issues, or I'm a damn beast.

My guess is that this guy may have had some sort of heart problem and didn't know it. I have an arrhythmia problem and if I stay up for even just a couple of hours longer than my normal schedule my heartbeat becomes noticeably more irregular.

We need a few good MMO deaths here to shake things up. Apparently, failed careers, social lives, and relationships aren't enough to unseat the devoted.

So Nintendo is killing gaming and gaming is killing people, that can only mean one thing : NINTENDO IS KILLING PEOPLE ! SOMEONE CALL JACK THOMPSON !
And blame WiiFit, also.

didn't a dude die of starvation or something like that while playing a game for multiple days straight?

incredible.
