One of my favorite redesigns of the suit that I've seen was this one:
It's simple and not over-designed. I love the two-tone blue, though I would possibly ditch the collar.

I really like the new design, but I actually think they held back. I love the alien tones going on with what I saw in the trailer and I kinda wish the suit was more in line with a space suit look that seems like it was built for space travel. Like a less bulky version of Zods suit.

I've said it before: the MoS suit is god awful in terms of that pattern armour design all over the thing, and the super dark shades without enough yellow. I cringe whenever I see it. I hoped to God it looked better in motion, and the trailer finally soothed my fears. But the design? You guys aren't exactly neutral on this, come on. You loved it before you even saw it!
You are kinda describing the Returns suit, yellow stuff all over, no armour pattern, and frankly it looked like garbage even in motion, so IMO the way it is the MoS suit is perfect as a redesign, looks serious, non corny, modern, alieny, perfect.

well the thing is they are making the suit something kryptonian which would make since because they couldnt deflect bullets on their home planet.
Ma Kent has made the suits prior to the new52 so it was understandable that the suit was made out of fabric

The trailer had a few hairy moments too when it came to CG. Is anyone concerned there will be scenes of awful CG in the movie? I'm assuming post-production is entering its completion right now if it hasn't already

Remarkable how well this works for an older superman. Good job.
The suit as a team leader/cadet works.
I don't mind one or two scenes that are not perfect in terms of CG, I can find some bad CG in practically every movie I watch.
Thats because - going by the trailer - superman's suit is more of a "under suit" or chainmail underneath an armour. He probably doesn't have a full armoured suit like Zod and his squad.
Notice the scene with Zod "I will find him" where everyone is in neck/hand cuffs. Zod's squad is wearing the exact same thing as Supes, except its slate colored. This is what I think they wear beneath their armour.

I like how on Krypton if Clark was wearing his Earth suit, he would have been easily blown away.
On the Nu52 suit: I'd like it more without all those random lines. Same for Green Lantern, Batman. and Cyborg. I think it works with Wonder Woman though. Aquaman didn't get any of that, and it looks cool on Flash because of the fun lightning effect when he's running.
As far as Nu52 designs so, the JL got off pretty easy. Same can't be said for everyone else, obviously.

For those looking to get a clean rip of Zimmer's music as used in the trailer, this is probably as good as you're gonna get until the score itself is released.
