Yeah it could be possible. On a related note JunkieXL has been tweeting a lot lately about his work with Zimmer on the score for Man of Steel.

I think I'm going to watch the Comic Con trailer one last time before the real trailer hits tomorrow!

They just started like a week or two ago I believe, I highly doubt they have anything ready yet and this can't be a half ass score.

It wasn't so much a "viral campaign" as it was just some decent short films. Peter Weyland's TED talk, Elizabeth Shaw's interview, the David commercial.

If Ridley had even half the skills he once had, he'd probably have figured a way to incorporate them into his film proper, because they do a very good job of world building.

Won't happen. It's last use in anything live-action Superman was probably the Smallville shirt-rip.

People said the same thing about Elfman's Batman theme when that series was being rebooted. It's time to let go of the past and let these new movies find their own identity.

I made it in jest. But why make a reboot at all if you take that logic to its fullest extent?

Haven't these things gotten pretty stale, by now?

I agree with the overall point, that it's time to let something new into this world, but doing it with a 80 year-old comic franchise that's been semi-rebooted and properly rebooted isn't exactly fitting with the message.
