Lord, people didn't actually take the guy seriously did he? He was clearly just joking. All the news articles have "Don't touch my girlfriend" as a headline, and it makes it sound much more menacing than it was.

Seems like harmless fun to me. The President jokes around with people like that quite a lot, it just doesn't always get filmed and spread around like this.
